Products that might help my sunken under-eyes (photo)

As per the photo, my under eye areas are quite sunken, not really dark circles (depending on how much sleep I’ve had) though I’m sure a bit of concealer might help. I suspect this is what ‘tear trough fillers’ are for (not up for that - yet!).

Can anyone recommend a skincare product that might improve matters, or a make-up product that could make them look less obvious? I wear minimal make-up so no idea where to start. Happy to spend a bit if it does the job. I’m 43 if that makes any difference? Thanks in advance 😊

I have the same problem OP so don't have an answer but bumping in the hope someone has!

Only 1 product will work…filler

camdenl · 12/07/2022 20:34

Beyond that, skincare can’t do anything to help. Makeup helps to a certain degree, you need a heavy brightening under eye concealer set with translucent powder. It makes the area look more cohesive but the line will still be there

Wearing glasses helps as can match the lower part of the frame to the dark circle. I have the same problem.

Tear trough filler. But only from a doctor who specialises in aesthetics and does it full time. It doesn’t hurt at all in case you’re wondering.

Another one for filler - it would transform your under eye and you'd have no regrets. The results are fab! Please share if you do decide to go for it!

I've been considering filler (I know really thats the only thing that will help to any degree) but would like to see some real life results. Have any of you had it done?

Candlestickchic · 13/07/2022 16:28

Thanks everyone. Sounds like the only real solution is filler. I’d be worried about it going wrong/looking worse I think, but I guess less of a worry if you find someone good. None of my circle have had anything like filler or Botox (to my knowledge I guess!) so it seems like a big deal to me, but I realise it’s fairly commonplace.

None of my friends know I’ve had tear trough filler but quite a few people have commented that I looked less tired (and they really don’t know, I don’t think these people would even have heard of it).
I’m not posting a pic of myself but look at the Consultant Clinic, DrJoshuaLondon and DrSaleenaZimri - all on insta. They have loads of examples.

And by the way, I had mine done in November 2019 and they are still noticeably improved even now. I haven’t had a top up ad I haven’t felt I needed it.

I think this is the exact problem that filler solves however i have read that there is a risk of blindness with the procedure
