Anyone had this done? How much should I expect to pay and how much down time afterwards? Can I drive myself home and how much time off work do I need?

I'm at the very early stages of research 😃

It's called a Blepharoplasty. Any tips?

I had mine done a few years ago. Abroad, so can't comment on UK price.

For downtime, I would have been able to drive home if I had to, but they use sedation, so I don't think it is really recommended. I could see fine though.

For time off, depends on if you need to meet people. I looked quite scary for 5 days until the stitches came out, then could cover scars with makeup and go out without anybody staring. I've seen other people getting more bruised and swollen though, so if you have a client-facing job, I would plan some time off just in case.
The eyes were quite swollen every morning for about couple of weeks, but the swelling went down quickly when I iced them, just needed to plan some extra time for that.

Thank you.

Do you think it was worth it?

Looking back at photos, I've always had slightly hooded eyes but now I'm 43 they seem really obvious.

Yes absolutely. I also always had hooded eyes, but they became really droopy by my early 40s. I look so much more awake and less tired now, and can finally use eyeliners and eyeshadows.

My friends mum had it done and a car came to pick her up included in the price. No idea where she had it done , it was years ago. I'm sure it's an option now.

Mine have got a lot worse. I saw some pics of a wedding in summer 2019. My eyes seem to have shrunk since then. The difference between 40 and 43 😄

You cannot drive yourself home - the anaesthetic and the fact that it is an operation on your face near your eyes will invalidate your insurance. Where I work it is around £4-6k depending on your specific circumstances. This is with a consultant plastic surgeon and would like be done under a ga with a one night stay.
