SPF - when to apply?

Hello, currently I use the following in this order in the day time:

Essence
Moisturiser
Primer
Foundation
SPF spray

I have learnt from that the SPF spray probably isn't enough and it's better for top ups through the day.

So, where do I put in an SPF lotion into my layering? Instead of the Moisturiser, after it? Does it work as a primer? I feel like it might be too much if I add it in so maybe it needs to replace something but what?

Your spf will block anything else absorbing so you are completely wasting your serum and moisturiser applying them to sit on top and not get into the skin.

Op I would do

Essence
Moisturiser
>Spf (leave to settle for a few mins)
Primer
Foundation
Top up spray as needed during the day

It sounds odd I know but that’s what the manufacturer (Ultrasun) recommends.

SPF is the last step in skincare and before you apply make up.

Unless you use Ultrasun which you apply after cleansing and before the rest of skincare routine
