Facial skincare for eczema (No7 or Clinique)

Hi all, I've ran out of face cream. I've been using Liz Earle which is nice. I usually use the No7 basic essential moisture cream with nothing fancy in it but am now fancying the lift and luminate ones now I'm sixty. I use Clinique make up so fancy their dramatically different moisturiser too as I know that is very plain and simple and I could buy one bottle of that to what it costs for the No7 day and night creams seperately (about £27 each). I do have eczema and sensitive skin so am I better with something more basic? I don't want to waste my money. As for the SPF that's in my make up, plus I do have a Boots suncare face cream with SP50 that I use when its really hot.

I'd try to get some samples if possible before committing to anything expensive, as sensitive skin can react unexpectedly to things, whether basic or not, depending on which ingredients you're sensitive to.

Eg CeraVe is a standard recommendation for sensitive skin, but it brings me out in hives!

I personally like Cetaphil (fairly cheap) and the Jojoba Company (bit more expensive like the No7) but I also think basic Nivea blue pot is pretty good (and very affordable!)

I meant to say in my experience the Clinique DDM is ok, I didn't react to it, and it is good under their makeup. But it isn't moisturising enough for my dry skin so had to add another product as well especially overnight.

I've not tried the No7 stuff

Pai Skincare is lovely and great for sensitive skin.

You can order samples from their site too.

I have sensible skin with a few patches of eczema and like cetraben cream (good basic moisturiser and massive tub for face and body) and Curél which has ceremide a to help repair the skin barrier, they stock it in Boots now but is quite expensive.

I love Clinique and use them exclusively as I have very sensitive skin. I'd recommend you book a skin clinic appointment- you can get these online (and maybe in store again?). They are free and you also get a discount to then use for your purchases. They will assess your skin type and your needs and will make a tailored recommendation. I bought my last moisturiser in December and I'm still using the same bottle as well as a little goes a long way.

I also have eczema, but generally not on my face. I swear by Bioderma Atoderm Oil for cleansing face and body, and their Hydrabio Serum for my face. That or a Beauty Pie hyaluronic acid serum, and oil for overnight. I'm 65 for reference, and my eczema is auto-immune system-driven. It improves in the sun/summer.

I have the same skin and ditched all fancy skin care about 3 years ago and now use CeraVe miccelair water to remove make up followed by CeraVe sensitive wash and then the CeraVe PM moisturiser. I have never had better skin and it's all but cure my Rosacea.
