Curly hair advice

After years of straightening, I've decided to embrace my naturally curly hair. This is it after washing this morning and leaving it to dry naturally. Does anyone have any recommendations for any products to make it a bit less frizzy / define the curls a bit more? Thanks.

If you look at all the Curly Girl stuff online, there are loads of recommendations, but I would start simple and cheap with leaving in your current conditioner if it's paraben/silicone-free (or I love Garnier Banana Hair Food) and then Boots Curl Creme. Then you can add/take away from there.

You have beautiful hair, I have wavy hair and am quite envious of your curls!

I like the boots curl crème.
the biggest revelation for my hair has been to avoid brushing, even when wet.
I use loads of conditioner, then comb it through with my fingers. Do the same with hair product after absorbing water with towel.
it’s made a big difference to the frizziness

Yes I've always found technique is as important as products for preventing frizz. So like PP's say, not dry brushing, apply product when shopping wet. I like orange marmalade gel, get it online, mixed with snot gel, again online.

Alo sleeping in a silk or satin bonnet is massively helpful to my hair!

I use Trepadora or Only Curls. The technique is very important so make sure you watch the videos and follow the instructions

I second Only curls- get the leave in and the gel to start with and watch the videos on the website. I use a stronger gold gel on top of it but see how you get on and adjust later.

Curly girl can be a bit heavy for waves. I get the best success using a gel on soaking wet hair. I recommend joining'Curly girl for wavies' on FB it's good for advice that's not too strict and right for wavy vs curly. It can be trial and error to find what's right.

Just a quick follow up. I've had my hair trimmed and dyed which has made it look a lot healthier. I have been using tigi repair shampoo and conditioner and frizz ease serum. This is my hair today after letting it dry naturally (it's not fully dry yet.) The serum seems to be helping a lot - the curls are more defined with a lot less frizz.

Ooh I can see some nice definition there. I am not a great fan of serums as they make my hair lank. I like boots curl cream rubbed into the roots and mouse all over. Then a good plopping over the bath getting a lot of moisture into the hair and than I diffuse whilst scrunching with a muslin.

Hershesons everything cream . This stuff is really simple to use and gives great curl definition without the silicone build up of frizz ease. Just scrunch a small amount through wet hair and leave to dry naturally. My link won’t paste for some reason, sorry.

I use Aussie mega shampoo followed by 4 minute miracle every day and then boots curl cream. Be very wary of frizz eze as the previous poster said the silicon build up is a killer!
