Cream to help with red skin caused by rosacea and acne

im hoping someone can help. I have really sensitive skin and my rosacea has flared up. Without make- up, my skin looks red and blotchy. Honestly, i dont like wearing foundation that much as i feel it can make it worse. Im looking for a cream of some sort that would literally take away the redness. Ive tried an aloe vera anti-redness primer from primark before and that helped slightly, but now it seems to cling onto my dry patches and make them worse.

Im not looking to cover my face, just something to make me look less red and crazy 👹

First off have you tried CeraVe as it has nearly got rid of my Rosacea, it's amazing?

EveParker22 · 08/07/2022 18:21

The only thing that helped my skin was Dermalogica. You can go into the store and get a full consultation (if you live near one)

I also have tried La Roche Posay moisturizer specifically for redness-and that really worked for me. I reckon go to the doctors if it doesn't clear up as you might need a cream.

I just use pure aloe Vera gel. Creams tend to give me spots. And my skin is also very sensitive (allergy prone).

EveParker22 · 08/07/2022 18:25

Ye! the doctor recommended that to me

Rosalique, it is a bb cream so offers good coverage whilst also helping clear up rosacea. It has an spf on 50 as well. I use it every day.

EveParker22 · 08/07/2022 18:27

Ohhhh, I've never heard of that! where can I get it?

poopyface · 08/07/2022 18:28

Rosalique for me too but only as a cover up - hasn’t helped reduce symptoms

CeraVe miccelair water for eye make up removal

CeraVe sensitive wash

CeraVe PM moisturiser

CeraVe eye cream,when I remember!

I bought the serum but wouldn't buy again, didn't feel like it did anything.

Are you using anything to reduce your rosacea? I tried Rozex cream from the doctor last year and it did help but I didn't like the texture as it felt too greasy. I signed up for Dermatica in January, I am type 2 rosacea and 6 months down the line my skin has never been so good. The redness has really reduced, I would say my skin in now in the range of normal and no more pustules and bumps on my chin so the skin is much smoother. I wish I had started it years ago rather than having rubbish skin for 30 years and trying all sorts of lotions and potions. I have a code where you can get it cheaper. www.dermatica.co.uk/referrer/3LW935 my tube lasts 6 weeks so I change the delivery date.
I actually went into work today make up free and my friends and colleagues couldn't believe the difference in my skin as they remember when I would suffer.
