Is Niacidimide serum watery/does it pill?

Hello,

Has anyone tried these serums from The Ordinary, Inkey List, LRP?

The ones I see online look awfully watery which I'm not keen on. I prefer a thicker product for ease of application.

Also - do they pill?

Thanks

I use the inkey list one. I haven’t found it to pill at all. I only use a pea sized amount and it’s transformed my skin.
It’s in hyaluronic acid so it does feel watery but soaks in well

I use The Ordinary. it does pill a bit so I use it at night. It has done nothing whatsoever for my dark patches. I'm just finishing the bottle out of some misplaced notion of not being wasteful.....

I use Paula's Choice 20% Niacinamide it doesn't pill and I don't find it watery.

anybloodyname · 03/07/2022 14:35

Sorry , can I ask what does pill mean?
I use the Ordinary but haven't heard this term

Thanks anyone ?

Skin pilling is when a product - such as a moisturiser or serum - doesn't soak into your skin properly. Instead, it forms tiny particles that collect on the skin's surface and transfer back onto your fingers.

I use the ordinary and don’t find it pills. I mix it with the Buffet serum, just to save time, and this seems to work fine!

anybloodyname · 03/07/2022 15:14

Ah ok , thank you

Mercurial123 · 03/07/2022 15:35

Google would have given you the answer.

anybloodyname · 03/07/2022 16:09

Was that for me @Mercurial123 asking re the meaning of pil ?

ChinBristles · 03/07/2022 16:49

Thanks everyone.
I've been doing some research and found that you can get moisturisers which contain niacidimide (eg cetaphil, Dr Sam's) so I may stick with that. Fewer products is always better!

I'm using the Ordinary one at the moment and it is surprisingly thick, more so than the mandelic acid one that I also use. Neither pill.

Google would have given you the answer.

Yes it would have, but you know, this is a talk forum.

Or just lazy.

anybloodyname · 05/07/2022 07:02

@Mercurial123 you really are a delight !

Yes I could have just googled , but as PP said - this is a talk forum and usually within Style and Beauty most people are quite chatty friendly pleasant

Have a lovely day 💐

I don't think Google would have given "the answer". People are giving different answers - from different experiences, different skin, different combinations of products.
