I had one treatment back in March and I'm due my second treatment soon. I've always been self conscious of it and finally decided to look into it.

I found out a nurse that I know at work has her own business so I went and had a chat with her.

The first treatment took about 20 minutes. It didn't hurt but for about 3-4 days after I looked like a pelican! She did warn me it would swell so I'm glad we were still wearing masks!

I've notified a bit of a difference since the first treatment but I definitely need a second one. I had fat dissolving, I'll try and find the name of it x

Thanks, Pelican really? i was hoping it would go unnoticed as i cant get time off work. how effective did the nurse say it will be?

I had my second chin fat dissolving treatment a few days ago, after the first I had a very wobbly chin area due to the swelling, it lasted over a week, though apparently it's a good sign as it means it's working. My second treatment did the same but not quite so much. I've had both treatments within 4 weeks and probably won't see the results for another month. The very tip of my chin looks bloody amazing though and I'm hoping that the results will be good after round two.

Thanks croclife...please can you update me. That sounds really hopeful. Apparently its not just fat its the muscle that kind of stretches and collapses a bit with age. Would be very interested if anyone found exercises useful.

Any update @croclife ??

croclife · 09/08/2022 23:34

Yes! I had the second session and the swelling wasn't as bad, I now have a beautiful defined tip of my chin, but think I could do with one more session to target the under chin area again. No regrets so far!

Oh good.
I've had my first of three treatments today. Hoping for good results

Oh wow the plastic surgeon who I used for a medical procedure had been negative about this saying it didn’t work but that’s great!! Is it not a muscle that kind of collapses underneath?

I'd be worried about it leaving a pouch of sagging skin behind, is that an issue?

Any update on this thread? I've had a quote for Vaser lipo on my chin and its over £5k. I'd love to know if fat dissolving or fat freezing works on a fat chin.

Didn't Linda Evangelista have a disastrous reaction to fat freezing on her chin? I think she had a paradoxical reaction where the fat got bigger and in the shape of the probe ( rectangular??) - it's a recognised complication.

She did and this is what put me off having it done. It is a small risk but not one I am willing to take considering what she has gone through (among other things!).
