Best SPF for under makeup?

Never worn anything more specific than random body suncream on my face.

Would like something a little more tailored.

Any recommendations please?

Budget £25

Ultra Violette

It has been designed for use under makeup and works beautifully.

I know it's over budget by £5, but I honestly swear by this! I use my normal moisturiser and then use this! It doesn't pill and my make up sits brilliantly on it. Lasts for ages too as you only need a tiny amount.

I like Heliocare mentioned above but have recently converted to the Body Shop Light Essence. It is the closes thing to Biore that I've found (since I stopped using Biore because too hard to get hold of and too many fakes on Amazon)

La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50 is the best one I've found and stuck with for the last few years

Yes, they also do a tinted version that's water resistant. You can use it at the beach when you wouldn't normally want to wear foundation, etc

To whoever's using the Clinique one you better be careful. I usually get red when out in the sun for a bit with that brand (and Estée Lauder, from the same company actually) so I wouldn't trust it blind. It works great under makeup but I don't think it's effective as a sunscreen. IMHO you should put it on by itself, take yourself to a nice park for a picnic in the sun and give it a test drive to be sure! Maybe they've changed the formula but maybe they haven't...

Vichy SPF50 in the small white pump bottle is very light; I'm using it instead of moisturiser at the moment.

Currently on offer at Boots.com

The Ambre Solaire one mentioned by a couple of people is really good. I also love Etude House mild airy finish. I'm very oily and this one is the best under makeup.

Clinique City Block. I use the 30 but I'm going to test the new 50 too.
It's easy to use & very light & matte on the face.

I use Ultrasun at this time of the year under make up. I have the tinted honey one too for no make up days, it’s a beautiful colour.
