Had this with my dd this morning but eventually she gave in and wore her coat because I said if she didn't I would walk up to school with her! I bet she took it off when she got round the corner though !!

You could try fatface - the coat DD(17) got for Christmas is now half price in the sale....

no they feel no cold or rain. it's an unexplained phenomenon. dd has a black velvet jacket to match her goth look, but thats it. school coat is squashed into the depths of the school locker. i have no hope of ever seeing it alive again.

No - and she's not even a teengaeryet, she's 12. She has a very nice, warm waterproof thing from Millets, that she only wears when going on enforced walks at the weekend. The rest of the time she wears my old, slouchy, hoodless long woollen coat and a huge hat - she looks like she's stepped right out of the 1970s. She is happy to use a brolly though - would your dd do that, or are they not cool either?
