Nails in terrible condition... help!

I've been going to the same nail salon for 8 years for gels but it closed a couple of months ago. I went to a new place but they were DREADFUL. Got max 3 days from a gel manicure before it started chipping, quite cack handed when removing etc. You get the idea. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back for a second manicure but exactly the same issues so last time I just asked for removal and I'm going to DIY it. However, they've absolutely wrecked my nails 🙈 they're thin, soft bendy... just terrible. I've never had this before! What should I be using to build the condition of my nails back up and help with the natural repair that time will bring? Any suggestions very welcome!

Believe it or not raw jelly. Just buy a small packet and eat two squares of it weekly. You will see a big transformation before your very eyes! Do not keep eating it though or your nails will get really hard to cut. Especially toenails.

Either just leave them alone for a while, take vitamin D, get the sun on them or get some nail envy repair.

I don't do gel anymore because of this.

Use www.chickadvisor.com/item/essie-treat-love-color/. Wonderful stuff

Let them grow out before doing anything else. Keep them short and use nail oil (dadi oil, solar oil) every day. IBX treatment will help repair delamination caused by shoddy removal, but that’s a salon treatment that not everywhere offers, so some research near you. Only time is really going to help here, but oil and keeping them short will help.

Thanks all. I keep them short by preference anyway so that's one good thing! Have some nail oil upstairs that I'll break out and look for those repair treatments. Next post in a few weeks will be best at home varnishes for longer term colour! 😂
