Do you often want to buy clothes that you know won't suit you?

I do.

Had v. annoying morning in town mooching through sales racks. Everything I liked I knew I wouldn't suit me.

Found a delicious Cabbages and Roses jumper, with raspberry velvet trim on sleeves and neck, but it was high-necked and NOT flattering.

And then saw lots of pinafores, which I wanted to believe in, but couldn't.

And oh just everything. City shorts in Gap, weird velvet trousers in Jigsaw.

I think I want to dress other people not me.

See,no clothes suit me

I have oft spent many an unhappy hour crying in changing rooms because I just do something to clothes and it is Not Good.

It doesn;t hgelp that I am heifer and v shoirt

But even the stuff that is "supposed" to suit me ends up making me look odd

I think I must have an odd shape, a bit like a scak of potatoes

sales are bad though, because you get seduced by the moneyt off and you end up with horros like a lime green kaftan which you %had to have because it was reduced from £295 to 9.99 or something, even though it is a) voluminous and b) lime green

I have a section of my wardrobe I casll "Sales Horrors" whaich I leave to seve as a warning when I go out shopping in January, but I somehow keep adding to it. [bad]

Not any more! Too many 'what the $%$& possesed me to waste money on this?' moments.
Do like asking shop assistants if they think something suits, nice fresh ideas (and temptation)

SheikYerbouti · 15/01/2008 18:11

I find shop assistants terrifying

I wouldn't ask them

[poof]

They are all aged about 10 and skinny round here, and they always look immaculately goomed. I always feel scruffy in comparison (it's nbot hard, ebacsue I am quite scruffy tbh )

Oh I like shop assistants. I insisted they come and talk to me today. And I had to work them, because I insisted on trying on the lovely and unflattering jumper on, and said 'Go on then' and they said 'lovely' and I said 'let's talk about this in a proper way' and they shuffled about a bit and said 'Hmm'.

NO, not gamine, not at all, just dreamy.

Oh really? I like to chat, and then I like to idly browse the rails imagining I am somebody completely different and find clothes for them, and then come away with one black shirt with a bib.

Not exactly perfect.

Lol,

I am a Deliberator.

I will spend ages perusing the smae item and coming ncak to it etc etc before I decide to but it. This is why I don;t like shoppoing, because I deliberate, and then go to try it on, and find all the time I spent making the decision is wastyed bceause it looks poo and I end up going home with a minging handbag or a piar of earrings I will inevitably lose
