Another bra size one with pics

I recently read a resurrected bra size thread and measured mine according to the instructions. I currently wear a 34 b. When I measured myself I was 32 underneath and 35 when I bent over. I think I worked it out as a 32C. I have been to try on today to see how that would feel.
The 32 C was comfortable and definitely a better fit on the cup size - I actually looked like I have boobs! However, I felt that I spilt over the back and by the armpits. I have attached pictures of my normal bra (black 34b) and the 32C.
Do either of these look right or should I be trying a different size?

NB the rear photos are awful regardless!

I'd try a 32 D

I think the 32 is too tight. I know MN swears by that method but I just find the bras that are supposed to fit are too tight. You've only got cleavage because of the bra style I think - it's a fuller cup which pulls both sides together, not because of the cup size.

I agree. If I do this method I can't breathe!!

The band is supposed to be tight because that's what supports your breasts properly rather than the straps.

I agree with going up a cup size and trying a D. The second pic (white bra) the cup is too small that's why you have bulging.

Can you scoop and sweep? Sorts out my back fat.

My shape in clothes is so much better since I moved from a 40c to my actual size - 36FF!

It took a while to get used to the band. Totally worth it for me though. And I was sceptical.

Same here! I bought a couple of 32s but they were just too uncomfortable - think I might be a 33!

Rookiemistake · 18/06/2022 20:19

Ooh I'll try a 32d. That makes me sound like I have an actual cleavage!
The 32 band was actually quite comfortable and I was expecting not to be able to breathe.

Does your normal bra feel uncomfortable as I think that looks good and comfy!

MrJi · 18/06/2022 21:34

I agree try 32 D and see how that feels.
also brand and style can make a difference, as different breast and body shapes will suit different makes and styles of bra.

MaryBeardsShoes · 18/06/2022 21:39

Is the centre of the bra sitting flat against the middle of your breasts? It looks like it isn’t so I would go up a cup size. It may just be the picture though, difficult to tell!

ladyinthecampervan · 18/06/2022 21:40

I’d also recommend you try a bra with a wider back strap. The narrower band will dig in more and result in overspill

Rookiemistake · 18/06/2022 21:45

Fedupsotired not uncomfortable at all but I don't fill it. My bras don't provide much support but then I also don't need much as there isn't a lot there!

They are hard to compare as they're different styles but both are too small in the cup. Definitely try a 32d.

jolietomate · 18/06/2022 22:16

Band looks fine, it’s the cup that’s too small. Also, be sure to fasten the bra on the loosest hook - as the band stretches with wear, you can tightening it a little by using the other hooks.
