Pre wedding beauty jitters

My partner and I were civil partnered a while before Covid and are having our 'proper' wedding in a few months - it's still going to be very small as I'm CEV, but I'm super excited about it, of course, and want to look nice (if possible, haha, it might be a losing battle).

Can anyone suggest what I should do, in addition to what I'm already doing, to look better and more glowy? This is what I have going already:

Skin care routine which is okay but far from perfect...
AM:
Cleanse with Glossier milky jelly,
Glow Recipe watermelon glow niacinamide dew drops (use as serum),
moisturiser is The Ordinary Natural moisturising factors + HA

PM:
Cleanse with milky jelly
Oskia super 16 serum
Moisturise with The Ordinary

I use Medik8 low strength retinol on my neck and décolletage. The reason why I don't have a sunscreen listed for everyday use is because I have lots and lots of medical issues, including severe migraine, so am very often in bed all day (in a dark room) except for going to the loo. I use Supergoop when I do see the outside. I sometimes use other products like eye cream, additional moisture, etc, but it's overall really hard for me to stick to a routine (major fatigue).

The Ordinary Glycolic acid 7% on my arms for keratosis pilaris and under my arms for odour.

Revitalash to grow my lashes. Just got them tinted, which I love.

Josh Wood gloss on my hair when I'm well enough.

I have Olaplex & K18. I'd say that K18 + a bit of Olaplex 6 and 7 seems to help most. Recently got a knock off blow dry brush which I can use on my good days. Just started using Vegamour hair serum as my hair is really thin at the front middle part.

I tint and pluck my own eyebrows and do my own nails. Just started taking HUM vitamins aimed at glow & skin (not Biotin as I'm terrified of breaking out!).

Problems:
I wear glasses and no glasses go well with my dress... My teeth suck (partly genetic issues, partly I'd benefit from jaw surgery but too medically unstable to have it!)... I would love to lose some weight now but have a significant history of anorexia so have to be really careful. Also, wish I could generally just look better, argh! I'm not naturally pretty at all (genuine truth, not a conventionally attractive person being modest).

I have never met my partner's mother (the only family member of hers coming, her father has died) or friends before since they live far away. First time is likely to be a day before the wedding itself.

So nervous! Confused

Remember it is you your partner fell in love with primarily so they will think you are lovely anyway!

I got married before all these complicated skin care routines and people still can look lovely without them, really!

Teeth, well your dentist should be able to advise. Lower cost options are various over the counter whitening solutions which can take away food stains and make a significant difference. You've got time to have a look at these.

Glasses, have a look at online retailers - there's a huge range of very inexpensive frames and which they can make to your prescription usually within a couple of weeks.

Oh and your weight..concentrate on healthy meals and cutting out snacks if that suits your lifestyle. Otherwise have a measured snack. Work out a sensible portion to have of everything and have that. Plan your meals in advance to ensure good nutrition.

See what toning exercise you can do. YouTube has loads of routines for all abilities, including people with various health issues so there might be something there to suit you.

If you've got some weights - that might be good for you. You don't need to do endless reps to see results.

@hihellohihello Thank you! Yes, I definitely will look into home whitening. My dentist is the one who does home visits for housebound people, so they don't really do cosmetic things, but you're so right about all the wide range available now!

Should definitely stop snacking so much, need to be sure I can fit into the dress! Grin

Thank you so much for your replies, I really appreciate that you responded and I will definitely follow these things up.
