Recommendations for blushers
Thewayshetalks · 12/06/2022 21:12
Can anyone give me any recommendations for good blushers to try, I have tried HUDA, benefit & physicians formula so far but wasn’t overly impressed with HUDA or physicians formula, I do like benefit but fancy a change

I wear a nars one every day (deep throat, similar to orgasm but not as shimmery). I also have a nice cream blush from beauty pie that I really rate.

The best blusher I've ever used was a Lisa Eldridge cream blush, unfortunately they're completely sold out but should be getting restocked soon.
I got an Elf putty cream blush the other week and really like it.

I have three that I like - I really need blush to stop my head looking like a potato so I’m never without one.
- A Bobbi Brown cream blush in a fresh pink (think you can also use it for lips but the shade doesn’t work for me except on cheeks). It’s lovely and dewy.
- Mac mineralise blush in a shade called Dainty that is my perfect coral. Instantly wakes my face up. I prefer it to Nars.
- Glossier cloud paint (I have a couple of colours including one that I thought might be alarmingly red but looks lovely on.) They are a gel texture and highly pigmented - the packaging is irritating but the product is great.

Can’t stand the ones with all the “porny” names, apart from anything else they’re over-priced and extremely naff.

I'm happy with my Laura Mercier powder blush. It looks ridiculously bright in the pot but looks amazing once on.
My DM has always used a cream blush and has used Clinique for years

Benefit is my favourite. I like mac sheertone blushers too.

I use Nars Orgasm. I like this so much I have the stick (which can be used for lips or cheeks), the powder blusher and the lip balm. I keep meaning to try deep throat, too. Though I do dislike the names as a pp has mentioned!
I also use benefit dandelion for a subtle look or Galifornia on rare occasion as it's quite bright.

For powder blusher I love Nars Gaiety but I think it was limited edition as I struggle to get hold of it. It looks alarmingly bright pink in the pan but goes on very sheer.
For cream/gel blusher Glossier Cloud Paints are brilliant. I’ve got 2 which will probably last me until the end of time as you use such a tiny amount.

My absolute favourite is Chantecaille gel blusher in Lively. It’s pretty speedy but it lasts for years.

For powder blush I love the Clinique cheek pop, it comes in 4 great colours, I've got them all but use the peach and pink the most.
For cream blush I love Trinny London Lip 2 Cheek, great for no make up days.

Ohhh thanks for this @tangelo, deep throat (blah name) has been sold out and I was wondering about MAC Dainty - you have sold it to me!

Also Glossier cloud paints here. I love them.
however, the grass is always greener and I happened to spot a new cheek and lip product by Code Beauty on insta the other day. Has anyone tried this product?
Tangelo · 14/06/2022 13:42
@PurpleSneakers hope you love it as much as me! I must have been buying it for nearly 10 years!
