Best bra for 14yo dd

Dd is in desperate need of a new bra, I’m sick of her wearing the Ones she has. They are like sports bras but make her boobs look really low so when she’s wearing dresses etc they don’t sit properly.

she got measured last month at M&S and they said she’s a 34e. They wouldn’t let us buy underwired for her yet but I feel like she needs some sort of support, it looks so uncomfortable!

help :(

Wouldn't let you buy underwired? How could they stop you?

Get your post moved to Style and Beauty and the experts will be along.

First mistake is being measured in M&S. Unless your DD is a size 16 or over she isn't a 34 back.

My 12 yr old is the same size and wears underwired T shirt bras from asda which after much trial and error are apparently the most comfortable. Her sister wears longsdale sports bras from sports direct which don’t look too bad under clothes.

M&s are rubbish fir their bra fitting

Have you got a Victoria secret u can get to? They do a teen range. Expensive but dd declares them the most comfy ones ever. And will sell underwire.

Nonsense. Even when i was a size 12, I was never lower than a size 36 back. Some people have broad shoulders/backs.

I am a 30J and wear the M&S bralets which give decent support.

Otherwise look for flexiwire bras. Definitely get measured somewhere properly and not M&S though.

Yodaisawally · 12/06/2022 21:15

Look at boob or bust, measure her yourself or get her to measure herself. M&S still seem to think elastic hasn't been invented and follow the old add 4" advise to the band.

greensnail · 12/06/2022 21:16

I'd take her to bravissimo.

Nothing wrong with wires if they fit properly either.
