Anyone recommend an eye lash serum for eczema prone skin?

Uklash is a no go which is annoying as it works. Has anyone had any success with one that doesn’t set your eczema off?

Could you try organic castor oil? My friend has very sensitive skin and rosacea on her face and hasn't had any problems with castor oil (her lashes and brows are definitely thicker from using it so I'm going to give it a go!)

@LifeInAHamsterWheel no I haven’t. For some reason it has never appealed to me although I don’t know why! Do you know what/how she uses it? Isn’t it a bit messy?

silly George one worked for quite a while at not setting my eczema off and I use it once a week now but without fail next morning eye lids are red and sore. Wondering if it’s because it’s out of date or something?

Revitalash is amazing for me and I have incredibly sensitive skin + eczema. That said, it's very expensive, so a costly mistake if you do turn out to be sensitive to it.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 09/06/2022 10:29

I don't know how messy it is, I'm waiting for my castor oil to arrive from Amazon so I'll be able to tell you next week Grin I'm still skeptical about it but it's cheap as chips so I'm going to give it a go. I intend to use it on my brows and lashes, applying with a mascara wand which is what my friend does.

Brawoe1 · 21/06/2022 09:02

@Innocenta used it for the first time last night… was woken at 2am with incredibly itchy eye lids! Today they are all red and swollen!! Never had a reaction like this ever, normally I get eczema after say a consistent few days of using it but this is on another level!! Won’t be touching that again.
@LifeInAHamsterWheel how have you got on with the castor oil??

Hi OP I've been using it for about a week now, haven't noticed any difference in my brows or lashes (so impatient!) but haven't had any adverse reaction either. I use quite a bit of it on my brows, really work it in with the little spoolie, but I go lighter on it on my lashes as I worry about it getting in my eyes etc. I'm sure it's far too early to tell but I will update in a few months and hopefully it will be to tell you about my thick brows and luscious lashes Grin

@LifeInAHamsterWheel thanks, I think I should lay off the chemicals so maybe I need to go down the castor oil route but I didn’t really want to!

Poor you it sounds awful, you definitely should stop using it and give your skin a chance to recover before trying anything else. Good luck!

Brawoe1 · 21/06/2022 12:03

@LifeInAHamsterWheel only used it once! Madness! There was me hoping to form something that doesn’t set my eczema off after a week of using it 😁

I'd suggest castor oil to as I bet that's the main ingredients in most of these magic serums. Why don't you want to use it?

rocksonrocks · 21/06/2022 12:08

Another vote for castor oil. It's fab!

MsOllie · 21/06/2022 12:28

The ordinary have brought one out that's pretty cheap so might be worth a go

I've always used rapid lash - I don't have eczema but I do have sensitive dry eyes and chronic urticaria and never had any issues with it

Brawoe1 · 21/06/2022 13:12

I think it’s the mess that puts me off the castor oil?

I have eczema on my eyelids and castor oil really irritated it.

I use rapid lash and have no problems with that.

I think it’s the mess that puts me off the castor oil?

Put it in a small bottle and apply with an eyeliner brush?
