Hi. I have just run out of everything I use on my face (cleanse, toner, moisturiser, cream, face wash etc) I have purposely let everything go down because I felt like a change and to be honest don?t think what I was using was working very well anymore anyway I was just buying it out of habit as I have been using it since I was 18, am now 27 (28 next month!) so can any of you lovely ladies let me know what products you think work best, I did go to boots yesterday but was overwhelmed by all the different brands they have (and dd was screeching in her pushchair) so left empty handed. my skin type is oily/normal and I was using simple before.

TIA

I've used dermalogica in the past and found them very good, (my skin is oily and in the past, a bit zitty for want of a better phrase), however a friend who works in a dermatologists office gave me some ROC samples and I've been using that since.
I've found both to be very good.

Liz Earle!

Cheap and works brilliantly.

pattymc · 14/01/2008 20:48

Liz Earle cleanse and polish (about £12) is great as is her superskin oil for overnight, pricey at £35 but lasts for ages. I really recommend these products but if too pricey then you can't go wrong with Olay brand

Hi - I second Dermalogica. I am 30 now and have used this off and on for a few years. A couple of years back I got bored of it and flirted around with some other brands but nothing was making me think "wow". One day I found some of the Dermalogica samples in my drawer. Reminded me how good the cleanser & moisturiser were for me. Am now back on it and will stick with it this time. Well, for now

Cost a fair bit to get the cleanser, toner & moisturiser but I know I won't have to buy again for a good few months. For me, it costs less than buying more cheap products as I struggle to find what suits me.

I have combination, frequently dehydrated skin (I think!)

Hope you find something to suit you too

I use dermalogica but recently found it wasnt enough for my skin so i am now using boots time delay cleanser with the cloth,my dermalogica toner,no 7 protect and perfect serum and my dermalogica moisturiser over the top.Have noticed a real difference in my skin and people have commented about it(in a good way). Its not about the cost of a product its about finding what suits your skin.

Would agree Dermologica is good but they don't sell it in Boots - generally beauty salons sell it if they do Dermologica facials (may be worth booking a facial to see which products are recommended)- after that, you can buy via the internet which is a bit cheaper.

Liz Earle - shops in IOW, Chelsea and John Lewis Oxford street - other than this, via internet. Agree cleanse and polish is very good - I too have oliy/normal skin and is good. They do sell small sizes of everything so you can try without buying massive containers.

If only Boots an option I would say - oil of Olay. I love their total effects moisturiser and always come back to it. They do various cleansers which I don't use apart from the facial wipes (the total effects ones) which are great for shifting make up.

I am a liz earle addict and its really quite reasonable.
