Think this should come under beauty - hate my stretchmarks!

My dd is now 3 and as you can imagine my stretchmarks have all faded, which is great. BUT, I lost a stone and a half last yr and although my tummy looks alot thinner (although should probaby start doing some abdo exercises) my marks just look all wrinkly and yuck.

I have just met a nice new bloke (hoorah) and I am suddenly all worried about what he might think. I have never had any negative comments from guys before and all have said my body is fine. But I still find my stomach rather ugly.

I know there is not much I can do about them, but wondered if I am normal and how to come to terms with it! And don't get me started about my c-section overhang..grrr!

Think of your body as a map of your life.
Its great that you've lost the weight and to be honest a lot of us are left with overstretched skin after pregnancy, especially around the tummy.
Treat yourself to some nice body lotion, it won't actually do anything to your skin but maybe you'll stop hating it so much if you give it some pampering and accept it.

It's funny, I was fine with it before when I was with my ex, who always made a point of telling me how attractive I was. But now I have met someone new, I guess the insecurity is creeping back in.

I moisturise every day, so at least my tummy feels very soft lol, but guess I will just have to live with it as would be far to scared (and broke) to ever consider surgery.

Ah, meeting someone new always has you examining/critisizing (sp) yourself in fine detail!
Unless your tummy was flapping around your knees then I wouldn't even consider a tummy tuck, major surgery!
I'll bet your new man won't bat an eyelid, he'll be too busy examining himself for flaws

how about using a product that will help with the appearance of your stomach, rather than just moisturising it?
decleor prolagene gel is really good for before and after stretch marks. it does wonders for skin tone and will pobably make the skin look better rather than just using moisturiser.
but it is about £20 a tube, although lasts for ages. qvc had a special value set last week, not sue if they still have it though.
