Office clothes when you’re apple shaped…

I need help putting together a fairly smart office wardrobe. I’m size 16-18, tall and very apple shaped - I carry all the surplus weight around my waist, I have large boobs and good legs.
In my current job I’ve just been wearing shirts and jeans as we’re mostly smart casual. I’m starting a new job in in 3 months and will need to up my game by quite a bit.
I find that typical work clothes (pencil skirts, smart trousers with shirts/tops tucked in) just accentuate my fat belly… can you inspire me with some suggestions please?

May not be smart enough but in my job where am on my feet supervising students all day I find these dresses with leggings and a scarf or thin cardigan to add a colour pop are great. They wash well so far! But def on the cheaper side. Amazon Essentials Women's Short-Sleeve Scoop Neck Swing Dress amzn.eu/d/bSi4LfS

I’ve got a few jersey dress and waterfall cardigan sets. They are comfy to wear and the waterfall cardigan works well to skim lumps and bumps. Pair with hood shoes and statement jewellery or scarves and they look very professional.

I'm apple shaped and struggle with work wear.

I've found A line dresses work best for my shape. Oddly I really can't do big blousy unstructured CoS lagen look stuff as it makes me look like a football. As someone above said: I need it to skim not cling but not be wafty.

I tend to wear with either longish smart cardigans or jackets.

Or I wear jersey stretch pencil skirts with boxy blouses and jacket.

Thank you everyone. I’ve bought a few pieces since. It appears that the look that works best for me is a tailored jacket, loose top and fitted trousers or a pencil skirt. No tucking in of the top. Jacket seems to be the key to success for me, really well fitting shoulders and creating the illusion of waist.

I'm also struggling here as whatever I wear looks frumpy. I've worn a line skirts with ankle boots, long Jersey dresses with long cardigans. Nothing seems to look stylish!
