Where else can I look for plus size clothing?

I’m a size 20/22 and looking for new holiday clothes. I usually buy from Simply Be, ASOS etc but nothing is appealing to me. I’ve tried some US retailers but, even if it doesn’t cost a fortune with the exchange rate, I’m nervous about returns.

Are there any websites, maybe smaller retailers, i’m not thinking of? Beyond Simply Be etc I’ve tried Yours, La Redout, river island, M&S. I just need some nice holiday tops, some shorts/cropped trousers and a cover up for beside the pool.

Weird fish go up to a 22, great quality but read the reviews 're sizing. I have 4 items ranging from a 16 to a 20 and they all fit. The Willoughby shirts at great if you have a bit of a belly

hotchocdrinker · 25/05/2022 12:17

Seasalt do quite a lot of stuff and some fatface things come in larger sizes too.

HalloHello · 25/05/2022 12:33

I've got a few lovely things in Tesco and Asda this week, size 20!

Ejk1990 · 25/05/2022 12:54

I've got quite a bit of shein recently. Cheap summer tops and great fit.

mdh2020 · 25/05/2022 13:05

Curvissa and Yours

Serenity45 · 25/05/2022 13:05

Monsoon, Sainsburys, Mantaray from Debenhams (though sometimes a bit overpriced, I buy in sale), Principles, Wallis, Next, Izabel London (they vanity size so I can sometimes get into a 14/16)

I've really gone off ASOS this year - SO MANY crop tops and poor quality material / finishes.

I'm an 18 but have been slightly bigger / smaller too.

DaisyDando · 25/05/2022 13:08

What about good old Next? Boden goes up to 22 and Joules to 26 I think. JessOnThePlusSize has some nice holiday clothes on (Instagram.)

BiscoffSundae · 25/05/2022 13:15

I like boohoo it’s criticised on here a Lot but I think they have a good plus size range and it’s good prices not crazy prices like other places.

Badger1970 · 25/05/2022 13:22

Most of my wardrobe at the moment is White Stuff, Seasalt and Studio 8.

I gave up with the so called specialist retailers like Simply Be/Evans as the quality is just dire.

gunnersgold · 25/05/2022 13:33

Next ! A lot goes up to 24 and they sell yours
Boohoo do plus size

icebearforpresident · 25/05/2022 13:36

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I knew there had to be places I was missing. I'm off to have a browse!

2isontheway · 25/05/2022 13:42

Boohoo, In the style, supermarkets, warehouse have a plus size section as do mango, monsoon, very

SheilaWilcox · 25/05/2022 17:54

I've recently been buying from Bon Prix

FinallyHere · 25/05/2022 18:00

Lovely clothes, good quality fabric. Not the cheapest but really good value. And generously cut too, so I sometime go down a size. This gives me a ridiculous amount of pleasure.

These make their own 'curated' collection of pieces I often see in 'lovely boutiques'. The bliss of this online outfit is that they have a full range of sizes.

EverybodysALebowski · 25/05/2022 18:35

Zalando has a pretty good mix of plus size brands

midsomermurderess · 25/05/2022 22:59

Violetta, the plus size part of Mango might be worth a look. Here

Beachbreak2411 · 25/05/2022 23:02

I love SHEIN at the moment!! Read the reviews to work out sizes but I’ve been really pleased!

waltzingparrot · 26/05/2022 09:06

Peacocks online have stuff in 20/22. Cheap and cheerful.

Tangelo · 26/05/2022 09:28

Mango’s plus size range is so good at the moment. Decent fabrics, fashionable, and brilliantly cut. Everything fits me really well (I’m a 20/22) and it feels like they fit and design to a plus size body rather than just scaling up from
a size 8.

MenaiMna · 26/05/2022 09:36

Bon Prix (same company as Curvissa but cheaper, casual stuff), select brands on Vinted filtered for new with or without tags e.g. I search for Joe Browns, Ulla Popken, Sheego for casual wear. La Redoute have really lost the plot in the last year or so with plus design - used to be distinctive and interesting but just as ugly as asos now. Evans is now owned by a German company (Avenue) with some American styles so there is a very wide selection as in it takes hours to find something but I appreciate their mailing list discounts.

icebearforpresident · 26/05/2022 13:23

I usually keep clear of BooHoo because I feel like everything there is too young for me (and i’m only 35) but I had a look last night and ordered a few items. They’ve just arrived and I’ll be keeping a pair of light, summer trousers. The two tops the cut on them is terrible, masses of fabric under the arms but so short they’re practically cropped. I’m 5ft 8 and the regular length trousers are far too long but I my mother in law can hem those at least.

I totally forgot Mango had a plus size range, I used to love them when I was skinny.

Roman originals, mostly sythetic fabrics and some stuff can be a bit mother of the bride, but some of my most worn most complimented clothes are from there

Bananaman123 · 29/05/2022 20:57

Asda George, Facebook group called fuller figure wardrobe sell lots of items, I’ve bought quite a bit from Torrid but it’s not cheap and I’ve never returned anything.
