Formal office shoes that have style and comfort

I have a new job and the dress code is much more formal than I have been used to - many of my female colleagues wear classy stilettos with skirts or trousers. I have not worn pointy or high heeled shoes for 20 years and don't intend to start again - but I feel rather dowdy in my M&S ballet pumps and square toed loafers.

Any ideas for upping my style and impact whilst retaining comfort. I have looked online and I'm naturally drawn to unstylish shoes for the comfort factor - I'm happy to pay £70 to £80 per pair. Ideally to go with trousers but also summer and winter skirts (with and without tights).

I'd say brogues for that.

High heels are not stylish anymore. ballet flats are in fashion right now as well as loafers. If you wanted a bit of a heel these are stylish and comfortable:

Following as this seems to be a holy grail (and the previous recent posts I've seen asking for something similar about 80% of people were suggesting trainers or open toed sandles neither of which fit the bill for my in office days...)

Our Dune outlet shop had some smart ballet pumps etc, may be worth a look. I wouldn't bother with heels if you don't like them.
