Does loose skin after weight loss ever improve?

Having got my weight down to something I'm happier with I'm left with loose wrinkly skin on my inner thighs.

I do lots of walking (part of my weight loss plan) but it's not getting any better yet.

Does anyone have any encouraging stories?

I'm almost 60 btw, so don't have age as my friend

I'm 52, and unfortunately it hasn't for me. I lost two stone two years ago and tried excercise, firming creams, micro needling, even a home skin tightening machine and the results were slight at best. I read that you need to wait a year and what you're left with then is what you're stuck with, so if you've recently lost weight, there's hope for you!
I've read that really building muscle in the area works to fill out the skin, but tbh, I'm not motivated and don't want muscular thighs anyway. Another option is thread lifts but I don't feel it's bad enough to justify the cost in my case as its only at the very top. I now have high hopes for HRT and collagen supplements but too early to tell!

Hello, I lost 6 stone on my late 40's and everything is so saggy.

My inner thigh is like that and lots of saggy skin, same in my upper arms and my stomach.

What I did get though was a very saggy neck which I addressed with a neck and lower face lift. Not for everyone I know but it worked a treat.

If I could afford to sort out my inner thighs I would but it was a questions of addressing what couldn't be hidden so I chose my neck.

@Wagsandclaws that's an amazing loss. I would certainly have considered a face/neck lift too, but not my thighs. If I was 30 years younger I might feel differently but I doubt they'll be on show much now anyway.

It's just a bit of a bummer having worked so hard to lose 3 stones plus, to be left with this. Oh well, could be worse

It’s so much healthier to have lost the weight but the loose skin is such a downer! I just look as if I’m wearing a slightly too big outfit but it’s actually my skin! Like @Wagsandclaws I focussed on the most visible bits first. My jowls were really ageing and hard to hide, so that’s what I’ve had done, and I’m very happy with the results. When I can afford to, I’d like to get something done about the deflated balloon tum and pancake boobs.
