Looking for similar type sneakers, with our without laces, flexible on colours, requirements are that the heel is 6cm, price around £100 and comfy to walk on, not just fashionable. Would appreciate suggestions please. TIA.

If you can spend to get the Russell and Bromley ones I can easily say they’re the comfiest shoes I own. And they look great too.

Puma suede mayu trainers look good

HigherNature · 15/05/2022 11:24

They do look good but don't have the height. I think they're prob no more than 4cm.

I couldn’t get on with the R&B ones as they don’t come in half sizes and kept slipping off my heels. I got some Kin Erennie ones from John Lewis but Mint Velvet do a style called Ellie that are similar

Still looking...
The Mint Velvet ones have bad reviews...

I actually forked out for the R&B ones but ended up returning them.

For that price, I really expected to feel like I was walking on clouds. Instead, I found them clunky (and I do usually like a chunky shoe!), stiff, and worst of all, narrow. I guess with wear the leather would have softened, but I wasn't willing to take the risk.

I also didn't feel that they gave me the extra height I was hoping for. On the website it says that the approx height of the flatform is 6cm, but I don't think it's more than 5. I am short so even an extra cm makes a difference.

It's a shame because I still feel it is a good looking casual shoe, and as it has no laces I could have gotten away with it at work (no trainers allowed), but like you OP, I am still on the lookout for a laceless trainer that offers at least 6cm height and it's comfortable to walk in.

I’ve not got that shoe, but another R&B style in the same leather and they have not softened at all, still rub across my big toe. I think they will my break my feet before I break the shoe in. I noticed a colleague wearing a pair of the R&B laceless trainers and they didn’t look great. They had started to curl over on the bits near the ankle that would normally be pulled in with a lace.
