It's a shoe one!

We have a cruise next year and it's a really posh one with 2 formal nights. The dresses I can probably sort but it's the flipping shoes.

My feet are crap, with plantar fasciitis and an ingrown toe nail that I'm trying to sort out and I blister really easily. I'm fine in trainers and boots, but anything with straps and heels and I'm in agony. Things like Ecco are obviously fine, but they're not sexy at all.

Slightly wider than normal so that doesn't help either but I'm losing weight and they aren't quite so fat (load bearing).

They just need to be pretty in a formal, probably maxi, dress and black,as that's more likely to go with anything. Closed toe is preferable.

In fact, if I get the right shoes, then I'll probably get the dress to suit them, rather than the other way round.

Fly london make some comfortable shoes that would look ok with a dress.

I know they aren't the most attractive but my husband owns a shoe shop, I told him what your post said and he recommended having a look at DB Shoes. They have 'dress' shoes and are specifically made for people with problem feet.

Could you get away with these under your maxi dress? Wide fit and they have a sparkle to them so look like an evening shoe. You could add in an arch insert or gel heel to help with your PF.

They're not actually that bad. Will have to measure to see what my width is.
