Please can anyone help me with what to buy to wear post caesarean section that will help me not to just feel like a sore bleeding milk machine? :)

Just as the title says :)

Only found out last week that I'm needing a caesarean and have 2 weeks to go!

I'm looking for things that are comfy, reasonably fashionable (I have no clue at the best of times), are going to conceal huge pads and dont cost a fortune. My budget is £100 but I'd like to get a few things for that price! More erring on the side of nice sportswear/lounge wear rather than nice loose dresses.

Want practical but also something that's going to help me feel okay about myself, it's been a difficult pregnancy with complications and I'd like to treat myself to some nice post partum clothes. I'm very introverted and having a halfway decent appearance will help me face the visitors!

Jogging bottoms and tshirts. Comfort is key here.

I round after both my sections high waisted leggings , long vest and a shirt so I could feed worked well. Anything that slips down can get caught in your incision. Good luck x

Post surgical support leggings from Seraphine were my uniform and made me look ok and helped with walking upright

Yep same - high waist is key (and still is for me TBH!) get some long, pretty shirts and they will be good for feeding and maybe help you feel a bit more together.

I had a few pairs of soft, high-waisted PJ pants too that were nice for lounging and stayed in my maternity jeans when I ventured out for a while after.

I had 2 sections OP and had a good recovery both times, no issues feeding etc. Also if it helps I believe you don't usually bleed as much after section as they vaccuum you out on the operating table (yuck).

Good luck 🤞

I’m living in these, around the house whilst my scar is still tender.

Not sure what size you need, but they’ve got sizes 6 to 10 and they’re reduced to £7. I’d buy every pair if I could get into a size 10 😂

I found these really comfortable - still wearing them now 4 weeks later, they hold you in a bit without feeling crushed.

Also recommend sticking a pad across the front of your pants along the length of the scar, feels a bit more secure for the first few days. The natracare maternity ones felt softer than the normal plasticky ones

The blanqi postpartum leggings are lovely too, wish I'd bought them my first time around!

Also, depending on budget, buy yourself a couple of breastfeeding tops, if you’re breastfeeding. They’ve made the world of difference to me

These are your friends , come in loads of fits and colours with a vest and some sort of cardi / hoody situation / denim jacket for leaving the house
