Help! Haggard mum look

38 yo mum to toddler and it is beginning to show on my face. I'm finally admitting that I may need a little help! I think the main areas of concern are the fine lines around my eyes and dry skin.

So I'm looking for your recommendations of what really works for a newbie to skin care. I'm not adverse to botox or more intense treatments, but I need something that is fairly low maintenance - i.e. doesn't involve a 20 minute routine each day.

My currently routine is cleanse, retinol serum, moisturise (+SPF if I remember)

You don't say what you do in the morning but it would be worth trying a moisturising serum. If you're also doing retinol in the morning that could be part of the problem

Sorry, a bit mangled in my routine. Retinol at night, SPF in the morning (cleanse and moisturise morning and night)

A stronger Retinol? Are you using over the counter? But you 100% need to remember Spf. Maybe move up to Tret?

Maybe add vitamin c in the morning, I love the medik8 one or the Oskia capsules - they give such a nice flow. I find Erborian CC cream gives a good small amount of coverage without looking like makeup.

Something like Cosrx Snail mucin is also great for glow and hydration (available at Boots)

Try a face oil? I fine serums and topicals can be a little harsh. You could start simple doesn’t need to be a high end one, Waitrose do one and Superdrug vitamin E range
