Another bralette one

I’ve been wearing bralettes during the day for comfort for a few years now but I’ve never managed to find one that offers sufficient support. My breasts aren’t all that large but they are saggy and wayward and I have a broad back. I find any that sufficiently encompass my breasts without creating a mono boob are a bit loose on the band, and I tend to fall out of deep cleavage styles so need one that’s reasonably height at the front.

Any recommendations please? Not Molke as I don’t want a racer back (I often wear low back dresses) and I don’t like the patterns. I avidly peruse any threads on this subject but to no avail so far.....

I wear the M&S lace Bralette. I'm a 34G. They work for me but it does push the breasts together rather than separating. But I wouldn't say that they give me sausage boobs though. The band below the breasts can sometimes roll up slightly by the end of the day, and can feel a bit diggy after 16 hours of wear, but is there such a thing as the perfect bra?

BusterGonad · 02/05/2022 09:49

I would say they are high on the front. Full cups.

Notarealmum · 02/05/2022 12:00

Thanks, it looks nice but I feel I need some padding to give me shape when there’s no underwiring. Worth a try though, you never know!

I see what you're saying. My boobs are rather low slung (😂) and for me I find the shape they give to be nice enough. They are supportive but I wouldn't use them to wear running etc. For me it lifts and pushes them together. Whereas my wired bras lift and separates.

Shellingbynight · 02/05/2022 17:20

Have you tried Sloggi Romance?
It does 'separate' and give some shape, but is very soft and comfortable.

Asda do padded cup pull-on bras, I've got a broad back and am probably 38/40 E cup, and they give me a decent shape and are comfortable. Maybe not firm enough for running or hard exercise, but good for everyday wear.

Notarealmum · 03/05/2022 01:47

@Shellingbynight I do like the look of that one, thanks. Separation is important to me.

@DelphiniumBlue I’ll have a look at Asda online now.....

Thanks, everyone, for the recommendations!

@Notarealmum I got a pack of 3 from Matalan recently and am really pleasantly surprised, especially because of the price. I'll try to find the order email with the exact name of them.

CurbsideProphet · 03/05/2022 07:29

@Notarealmum "seam free padded lace bralettes". The lace detail is on the back of each strap.

Notarealmum · 03/05/2022 07:37

Thanks for that, @CurbsideProphet, I wouldn’t have thought of Matalan. There’s another one on their website that might be OK too.

I also agree with the Sloggi recommendation. Though I also have some bralettes (variety of styles might be worth a look) from Urban Outfitters, spotted when shopping there with teen child!

Carlichimp · 03/05/2022 15:40

Sugar candy bralettes give a good shape and are very comfy. I have the nursing one, but I believe the normal ones are the same style. Bit pricy, but good quality.

RampantIvy · 03/05/2022 17:26

I was in M and S yesterday, and they had a huge selection of bras and bralettes, some of which were padded. If you are anywhere near Sheffield I really recommend that you go to their Meadowhall branch. No other shop I have been in has such a huge selection of underwear.

ps don't get measured by them, as they get it wrong.

IlonaRN · 03/05/2022 21:54

Bravissimo have some great ones

Notarealmum · 04/05/2022 08:19

Sugar Candy is interesting, @Carlichimp, thanks, I’d never heard of that brand. I don’t want a bra with hooks tough ideally.
Thanks @RampantIvy, I’ve tried M & S bras and bralettes over the years and there always something wrong with them (for me) so I have to admit I’ve rather given up on them. Perhaps I’m wrong to do that. Likewise Bravissimo - usually a bit too low cut for me - but I’ll have another look at their online store now @IlonaRN.

It really is an ongoing trial for me, I’ve been starting to think I should maybe just go back to ordinary bras - or accept my breasts will forever hang low and ill-shapen.
