Cos dress accessory help

I have no style sense at all but would like to up my game a bit at work. I am thinking of buying something like this www.cosstores.com/en_gbp/women/womenswear/dresses/product.pintucked-midi-dress-black.1073502001.html from Cos or similar but cheaper from Uniqlo. I am a teacher, 47, size 12 or 10 depending on shop. Has anyone got any advice on what kind of things go with a dress like this?! I need flat shoes and no open toes or trainers are allowed at work. I can’t wear any ‘slip-on’ shoes - they destroy my very narrow feet! Would espadrilles work? I’ve found some in Boden I quite like the look of www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/peggy-espadrilles-navy/sty-a0948-nav?code=J7T7&cm_mmc=PLA--Google--15218940153--129232204523--pla-293946777986&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIx92D4sK_9wIV2d_tCh0Hawt0EAQYAiABEgKN0_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds . I’d be very grateful for any comments…

Also I need a jacket or cardigan because I am nearly always chilly so need something with long sleeves that I can take off on the off chance I get hot leaping around a classroom. Any suggestions on what kind of outer layer would go with this kind of dress?

All suggestions gratefully received.

Nice dress, I really think you could wear most things with it and dress it up or down. The orange espadrilles would go well with it, I think (not the navy) and maybe an equally bright, loose cardigan if you need it.

A coloured, cropped jeans jacket like this from Zara would be nice with it, I think. I’d keep jackets etc short with dress being loose.
