Pony tail for going out?

Apologies in advance for another thread, I'm not sure if I'm having a mid 30s mum crisis or what 😂

I hate my hair down, I'm trying to limit straighteners to help the damage. Everyone says I suit it up but I'm not good at up dos.

Is an ordinary pony tail an acceptable hair style for a night out? Maybe mid to high. With jeans and top of a jumpsuit?

Or a jumpsuit

Sounds fine. There are many many clips on YouTube etc showing how to jazz up a pony tail, maybe check some of those out?

Go for chic rather than bouncy-sporty, if you see what I mean.

I used to be like this, ironed my hair for 15 years then quit in 2016. Found out that even now my hair is wavy and healthy and treated well, it still thins at the ends when long. For this reason I do prefer an updo on nice occasions, so wear a Clemece Poesy-esque twist at the back (middle parting for me) or a loose yet artfully placed claw clip, you can get pretty one's in fashion stores.
I do like a low pony for everyday but tend to brush it into style so that it doesn't look limp.
Updo's are lovely, I think we just feel a weird pressure to associate glamour with loose hair.
Also, think loose, french, carefree with wisps and a low effort look. Off duty ballerina. Low buns/chignon's look much more current than high topknots, etc. Nothing lovelier to show off subtle, beautiful jewellery, too.

Definitely google vids for loose ponytails.
A few pics for you!

I also put a few twists into my hair to add bounce with a heated brush (mine is revlon), just lightly twist a section of hair around it like a spiral and draw through. If you have naturally curly, frizzy or wavy hair this should slick the fuzz down a bit and does not damage hair as in the way irons and constant blowdrying can.

@Herbarium that first pic is exactly what I was thinking about. I normally have it pulled back like the last one at the front which is what I was wondering about. Loose and low effort is ideal for me too. Thanks!
