How to hide bald patches! Help!!

Hair rapidly thinning and bald patches starting to show quite badly 😥
Still trying to work out cause, peri-menopause? Fungal infection? Health? Not getting anywhere fast really with GP but it's starting to really impact me and I am avoiding going out or letting people see me.

Hairline has reduced all around by around 2 inches too. Have long naturally wavy brown hair, is it time for the chop?

And how can I hide the bald spots? Any tips or techniques? Please!

You need to ask for dermatologist referral asap. Alopecia must be looked into, also, although such wrong time, HRT?

You could try hair fibres as a temporary measure. I suffer from female pattern baldness and they work well to hide the thin areas. The ones in the link above aren't the only brand of hair fibres if you Google, but they are the ones I've got and work well.

If you need a dermatologist recommendation in London I can PM you. I see a guy who specialises in hair issues. I was told my bald patch (alopecia areata) was likely caused by an immune response to a couple of vaccines close together & an illness. It's now filling in... very very upsetting. You can also take a look at UK Alopecia Areata support page on FB.

There are several specialist hair replacement salons around the UK who offer solutions to thinning hair and all stages of hair loss. They're not the cheapest, but do achieve great results. They can custom make and fit hair replacement systems, and they range from small patches to cover individual areas, up to a whole head system.

If you have dark hair then Superdrug dry shampoo for brunettes is great. You can spray it lightly onto your scalp, which helps to blend in any thinning areas.

Also second hair fibres (I use Toppik).

Curly/wavy hair gives more volume and helps disguise your scalp a bit.

You can try using brown eyeshadow or the root colour powder people use to hide roots, seems to work quite well applied to thinning areas
