In what context are you asking OP - are you coming from somewhere with a very different climate? It's looking pretty cloudy next week so layers and comfy shoes I guess.

Loopytiles · 30/04/2022 14:56

Comfy shoes!

KirstenBlest · 30/04/2022 15:17

Dress up for the concert.

For walking around, comfortable shoes or trainers, and layers. If you have a light waterproof/showerproof coat that you can put in a bag or pocket, bring it. London's not particularly wet, but it is the UK

ISpyCobraKai · 30/04/2022 15:18

I'm doing the same in June and planning on wearing comfy clothes/trainers.
My concert is at Wembley though.

VanCleefArpels · 30/04/2022 15:19

People in London don’t dress any differently to anywhere else. In fact if anything people dress up less when going out than many other UK cities. So bring whatever clothes you would wear for similar activities / weather wherever you live

I have one of those pac a mac type things, which isn't at all stylish, but will keep me dry if needed and takes up v little room in my bag.

KirstenBlest · 30/04/2022 15:35

@ISpyCobraKai , me too. Can't stand brollies and being wet isn't much fun Smile

RewildingAmbridge · 30/04/2022 15:39

What do you mean by concert? I do to a lot of gigs/concerts in London and no one dresses up..
Comfortable flat shoes/sandals/trainers, jeans, t shirts, casual summer dresses, a jumper/cardigan or two , a jacket.
Unless you've booked a very posh restaurant (and even then in most instances) London is casual

RewildingAmbridge · 30/04/2022 15:39

Tbf I would also bring an umbrella just in case

ISpyCobraKai · 30/04/2022 15:40

Brollies are a PITA, besides no one knows me and my dreadful clothing choices in London!
Other than the concert I'm just planning on doing free things/eating street food so completely casual anyway.

FleeceNavidadfromtheSheep · 30/04/2022 15:51

What are you seeing at RAH? No need to dress up unless you're in the royal box.

WhereAreWeNow · 30/04/2022 18:12

Trainers, jeans or similar for comfort while walking round. I wouldn't get very dressed up for RAH. London isn't very dressy really.

TheOGCCL · 30/04/2022 18:15

London is very irritating at the moment. If the sun comes out it’s lovely and warm but if it doesn’t it’s really quite cold and miserable and also when the sun goes down (7 degrees last eve).
So I’d say lots of layering!

I can never get it right at this time of year.

Style wise literally anything goes.

LouisRenault · 30/04/2022 18:27

Definitely don't bother with a brolly. They're just a nuisance in busy streets.

I wouldn't even bother with a waterproof, if it was me. A hoodie will do if it rains a bit, and will keep you warm too, and you're never going to be far from a shop/cafe/pub/bus/Tube station if it really pours.

A nice top and some black trousers is all you need if you want a change of clothes for the evening.

doadeer · 30/04/2022 19:01

Really anything goes.

I used to go to Royal Albert Hall a lot before I had my son, probably been about 8x and it's such a range in what people wear. I always wore a dress and nice makeup and it was a lovely night out but always some people in jeans and some in suits.

I think nice accessories can really change an outfit, a hat or jewellery.

ISpyCobraKai · 30/04/2022 19:04

I'm definitely taking my pac a mac, hoodies take ages to dry, so I'd rather not get wet, plus staying out of the rain, time is limited so if it pees down for the whole three days I want to be prepared!
For that reason I'm also taking leggings, a pair for each day.
I'm wearing jeans and a new vest top for the concert.
Harry Styles btw, I'm v excited 😁
