….but I’m after a recommendation for a (perhaps miracle) eye cream to help with thinning skin under the eye and visible veins/dark areas. No puffiness. Some laughter lines but not my main concern. Use a day and night cream currently but nothing eye area specific! Use touché Eclat type cream in the day to conceal but don’t know if I can use anything to plump and brighten?! Any tips welcomed!!😙

Obagi elastiderm is very good. I'm 50 and it's addressed the creepiness and really helped in general.

I use Caudalie premier cru which helps illuminate the area under the eyes

Also interested in recommendations!
I’ve been using this victoriahealth.com/eye-contour-serum/
which seems to work very well, but I am not sure if much can really be done for the darker shadows/circles - like you, daytime concealer is a solution!
I have tried samples of the L’Occitane Immortelle serum for eyes, which was lovely, and I did see a real improvement. ££ though.
I’m going to look at the Beauty Bible eye cream award winners, including Jane Scrivner and Liz Earle. They are all tried and tested, some not wildly expensive, and the comments are encouraging. www.beautybible.com/eye-treatment-cream-2022

Beauty gurus with no skin in the game (pun intended) generally are of the opinion that eye creams are a waste of money as the ingredients are exactly the same as the ingredients in your serum. The beauty industry shot itself in the foot by developing serums as they more or less negated any need there may have been for a separate eye cream unless that eye cream offered something very special.
I've read good things about the Ole Henrikson banana one listed on the Beauty Bible page, as the "banana" bit us that extra something that makes it worthwhile. That said, there's a tinted Olay one that also gets rave reviews.

The £££££££ Kate Somerville one is emperor's New clothes as it contains fairly cheap ingredients that every cream contains in a fancy schmancy packaging.

For true anti-ageing around the eyes you need to look for active ingredients like retinol. You can get eye creams with retinol that will make a difference. You won't have to pay ££££ for them.

(And yes, I fall for the hype and try the whole bloody lot as well Grin)

Kiehl's avocado is good for dry skin around eyes

Thank you I am checking all these out. I’m 44 if that helps with olive skin that used to be greasy so wrinkles less of an issue at the mo more the visible veiny stuff. I don’t use any creams or serum eye specific at the moment.
