What are your top hyaluronic acid brands?

So far I've stuck with the Ordinary and it's been absolutely great but want to try others if anyone has any good recommendations?

Thanks

On a separate note - I'm a skincare junkie but can't seem to find the point in Vitamin C serum. Does anyone use it regularly who can extol its virtues?

I have a Revolution Pro hyaluronic acid which has surprised me (in a good way). It was pretty cheap too.

I used a whole bottle of Nip + Fab vitamin C serum and couldn't tell you any benefits. Did not replace!

VladmirsPoutine · 15/04/2022 16:05

Thanks Tiny shall add that to the list!

Hada Labo Gokujun Premium Hyaluronic Acid. One of the most elegant formulations of HA I've ever used, and extremely popular for that reason.

MyNameIsAngelicaSchuyler · 15/04/2022 16:46

Yes hada labo for sure

I love vit c! The glow is immense. Using a Sunday Riley serum atm and it’s lovely

LBB2020 · 15/04/2022 16:47

I like the Vichy mineral 89 serum and the CeraVe one

chipsandpeas · 15/04/2022 16:47

The inkey list is good as well as the primark one I go between these and the ordinary one

OrangeBlossom28 · 15/04/2022 16:49

Hada Labo Premium for definite!

MapleMay11 · 15/04/2022 18:26

NIOD

AthenaWhite · 15/04/2022 18:32

...another vote for Hada Labo. Love vitamin C too, used it for years. It has a lot of data to back it up and is a real work horse of an ingredient. I use a geek and gorgeous one. You keep it in the fridge and decant some into a tiny bottle to see you through the week. It's just what I love from a Vit C, sinks in beautifully and I use it every morning, tret at night.

I also
Use the vichy 89 mixed with my normal moisturiser- about £16 from Amazon

kjv1234 · 15/04/2022 18:36

Can I ask you all the reason for using this? I have such a dry forehead no matter which moisturiser I use and I exfoliate an awful lot. Have been reading and some things say using hyaluronic will help- is this true or do you think I might be wasting my money? Thank you!

BradleyCooperwillbemine · 15/04/2022 18:43

Is the Hada Labo Premium better than the Lotion No. 1 HA ? I have that and am very underwhelmed.

Imabouttoexplode · 15/04/2022 18:44

Vichy 89.

AthenaWhite · 15/04/2022 19:54

I also apply it on wet skin, seems to help.

isthismylifenow · 15/04/2022 20:11

I am currently using neutrogena hydro boost serum which is hylaronic acid based. I am just using it up but I use skin republic usually.

As for vitamin c. I do use it but I really am not dealing well with the smell. I've tired two brands which make me feel like I smells like metal after a few hours. The EA capsule doesn't do this, but they are a bit pricy for every day use.

motherofawhirlwind · 15/04/2022 20:15

Eclat from Amazon

It's just a good hydrator. An extra boost to hydrate skin. It needs to be applied to damp skin or it has the opposite effect- its molecules attract water so if it's on dry skin it takes moisture out iyswim? The jury is out on topically applied hyaluronic.

I've used The Ordinary which was awful- thick and gloopy. The Hada Labo gold is OK. I prefer Vichy Probiotic Fractions.

Re: vitamin C- it's one of only two ingredients that have been proven scientifically to make a difference to skin (the other being retinol). It's the product that I've seen the most difference with, more so than retinol tbh.

DoubleYouOhEmAyEn · 15/04/2022 20:51

I agree about Vitamin C. Does nothing for me at all. I use q&a HA serum. Cheap as chips and has sorted out my dryness.

artisanbread · 15/04/2022 20:54

I use the QA serum from Holland and Barrett too. It's really cheap and seems to do just as good as more expensive brands I've tried.

KY2021 · 15/04/2022 20:58

I also love the inkey list one and definitely apply it to damp skin. I spritz after cleansing and then apply the hyaluronic acid before moisturising and I've noticed a real difference. It's nice and cheap too Smile

MrsDThomas · 15/04/2022 21:52

I use Superdrug. Its great but I haven’t tried another brand

rc22 · 15/04/2022 23:08

I picked up a bottle of the Revolution one from Sainsburys, it was on offer and I like it. I think it cost around £4 on offer and I'd get it again.
