Jeans with a “relaxed” crotch?

This is a bit of an odd request, I know!

3 years ago I had vulval cancer, and had half my vulva removed. My scars still cause me occasional discomfort, so this limits what I can wear.

I used to live in jeans, but I’ve spent the last 3 years wearing tunics / leggings or dresses, and I want a change!

I bought a pair of jeans in a larger size a few months ago, which are ok from a comfort perspective but are pretty unflattering.

Any suggestions on a jeans cut / brand that might be suitable? I’m not particularly bothered about whether the style is fashionable at the moment. My preferred style would something skinny rather than wide leg, and I’ve got larger hips and a smaller waist.

Please help!

Next do 'denim jogger/ jeans' which are super soft and loose fitting. I wore them in early pregnancy when I couldn't bare anything harsh or tight across the stomach or crotch. Im looking forward to getting back in them post birth!

The sizes run large and they get looser and softer as you wear them so you could size down in them if you wanted to but the larger size may give you the room you're looking for

you could look at maternity wear but are boyfriend jeans not meant to be looser around the crotch? Here's one pic from next.

@LizzieMacQueen thanks - boyfriend jeans may be the answer.

Definitely not after maternity clothes or elasticated waist!

Tesco sell Ultimate Comfort jeggings which are made of very soft material. They might work?

If you are already fairly tall maybe try looking in the tall range at places like asos. I'm 5foot9 and if I don't get tall jeans they dig in at the crotch because of the length of my pelvis. Taller jeans give more vertical size rather than a larger dress size which only gives you width. If you're not so tall you may end up needing to get the leg length tailored (or roll them)

COS sell a range of tousers including denim in diffferent colours in a "dropped crotch" style.

I have these from Oliver Bonas and they are very loos around the crotch. I get camel toe very easily in jeans.

Lots of jeans are super high waisted now. Would that be good for you? Boyfriend, Mom jeans and Balloon style jeans are all super high and fitted in the waist, then much bigger around the hips and crotch area.

I second the tall jeans idea above. I'm only 5'6" and high waisted, and tall jeans always fit better. Took me ages to figure out why trousers were always too big in the crotch or too small in the waist. My legs aren't very long (my inseam is only 30") so tall jeans need hemming but at least they fit everywhere else.

Balloon, dad, boyfriend, relaxed, loose (90s) all could work. Don't know your budget but Raey have a great pair of dad jeans that were too loose for me? They are expensive but if you wear jeans a lot they work out pretty good on cost per wear. Advice is to size down but you might try usual and one size down
