Bras when your boobs are under your armpits!

My breast tissue seems to start from way under my armpits. And my boobs seem to be bottom heavy. So I'm finding that the tops of my cups are empty but I'm overflowing on the sides with the wires digging in. I scoop my boobs forwards but they seem to settle back under my pits as the day goes on 😩

Wacoal bras seem the most comfortable that I've found so far. Does anyone else have any recommendations? 🤷‍♀️

No wires, plunge style. Deco Bra is good.

JaneJeffer · 12/04/2022 23:52

Balconette bra if you can find one!

AllLopsided · 12/04/2022 23:54

I have this problem too. Elomi plunge styles are good (not plunging on me, but often the wires in the centre are too long on a full cup design).

DramaAlpaca · 12/04/2022 23:55

Yes to a balconette. It'll push them up and forwards and give you a nice shape.

Balconettes don’t work for me. You can get side support bras - plenty of brands do them if you have a search online. I find they’re the only bras I can wear these days.

Bravissimo do a great selection of side-support bras. They have extra material in each cup that push everything forward. If you can get to one of their branches, they do a great fitting/advice service.

I have a similar shape and find balcony and balconettes look dreadful. Plunge and moulded cups seem to be the best for me.

Front fastening all the way. I don’t know why fastening on the back is so much more prevalent, you wouldn’t think it makes such a difference but it does - some kind of physics must be involved Grin it’s so much more comfortable.

I agree, plunge work best for me too, I find balcony bras just fill up in the lower cup and the upper cup is empty.

Thanks for all your ideas. I've tried balcony bras and they look dreadful! I think maybe I need to look into more side support.🤷‍♀️

Make sure you're wearing the right size, too. I find that because a lot of my breast tissue is at the side, bra fitters try to put me in a much smaller cup than I need. The Boob or Bust method worked for me, although not everybody feels the same.

Nishkin · 14/04/2022 08:22

You need to ‘scoop and swoop’ to move breast tissue back to where it should be - boob or bust on Facebook has lots of advice

KILM · 14/04/2022 08:42

I have the same boobs! Echoing all the suggestions above.

  1. Side support bras!
A lot of brands dont actually label them as side support, so if you google and see what they normally look like you can keep an eye out. Balcony bras look bad on me too so i go for plunge generally but even then its tricky. The Gossard Superboost Plunge bras work great for me, they do them in loads of colours and they arent stupidly padded, just a tiny bit for shaping. Curvy Kate have some if you look under lingerie > styles > side support on their website.
  1. Get measured or measure yourself - lots of people are wearing too big a band and too small a cup.
  2. Scoop and swoop.
Iknowthis1 · 14/04/2022 08:44

Try a smaller band size than you're currently wearing, with a bigger cup size. This should mean the cup extends further towards your arm pits.

Give boob or bust a read.
