cleaning....armpits?

I don't use aerosol deodorants, and since quitting over a decade ago I have had no issues with odour, etc so prefer to sparingly use a mitchum sensitive scent free block..

However, I often also wash my armpits when not in the shower, and think this has possibly irritated and dried them a little.

Can anyone recommend a product for washing them when not in shower that will be both quick kind to the skin there? I stupidly used kitchen roll to quick dry if in a rush, and a rose bodywash. My armpits seem not to like that!
Is there a medicated or sensitive (out of shower) wash that you would recommend??

Can you not use whatever you use in the shower?

If you're bathing daily and then washing them in addition to this then possibly you're drying your skin out. If your bathin less frequently and washing your underarms once daily then you might need something advertised as gentle.

Mine were dry and irritated after a reaction to natural deodorant. I found putting Aveeno moisturiser on after I had dried them helped. To wash them I just use a Dettol bar soap

Thank you. I don't over wash them but i think it might be the Bodyshop soap I use when not in shower/bath.
In the shower i use my fave calming Champney's Grin
I will use some E45 cream as have this in at moment.
Have heard good things about Aveeno.

I moisturise mine after washing but before deodorant as otherwise they get dry and itchy. My legs also get dry and itchy so don’t treat them that differently. I’m not sure kitchen roll is any quicker than a towel though?

I've never thought of doing this. After reading your post I did this last night and today. Wow, thanks for the tip!

Just try gentle baby soap?

I got itchy, dry, rashy, sore armpits a couple of years ago. Aveeno body wash sorted it out. I think I had to order from amazon though. It's not stocked in many shops or wasn't then anyway.

One of the acids is meant to be good as a deodorant substitute. Glycolic, salicylic etc. I sometimes do a quick swipe over with whatever I have knocking about.

I really like Shield soap. Not sure if it's that gentle so might be worth waiting til the sensitivity has passed but it's very effective at cleaning.
