I think that's what it's called...when your arms get the pinprick like dots on, sometimes a bit bobbly, though mine aren't.. How do I get rid of them??

It's called Keratosis Polaris. It happens when the skin doesn't exfoliate itself properly. So exfoliation is key. I use exfoliating gloves every time l shower and a good moisturiser after every shower.

I started out using this stuff from Paula's Choice amzn.to/3xfVnJm and it did really help. But I've continued on with great success just using the exfoliating gloves and coconut oil as moisturiser.

But the Paula's Choice stuff I linked to is formulated specifically for conditions like KP to help exfoliate the skin.

*Kilaris Pilaris I meant

Ameliorate also do a lotion for this - Nadine Baggott always mentions it

FFS typos & auto correct - it's Keratosis pilaris if you want to look it up

Might be cheaper on other websites www.boots.com/ameliorate-transforming-body-lotion-200-ml-10230429

Thank you! Off to look these recommendations up, I want them to be looking better for summer.

Was worried it might be an age thing, getting older and getting bad skin Confused

I get this op. When I cut out alcohol and carbs it disappears. Definitely exfoliating and dry body brushing works. Plus drinking water and exercising.

So sorry I know it's all boring but it does work.

As others have said, it's Keratosis pilaris. You can treat it with salicylic acid. CeraVe do a great cream called "CeraVe SA Lotion for Rough & Bumpy Skin" which is for exactly this problem (it contains urea and salicylic acid, both of which really help).

Thanks, I have ordered some cereVe!

So I've been using the cereve in the morning and ameliorate lotion in the evenings- I've also used their scrub a couple of times- and I could be imagining it because I'm focusing on it properly but they look redder than they did. Is this normal?

Also, last couple of years I've been taking doxycycline for acne - could that have contributed?

You need those Korean Italy flannels in the shower - sorted mind out a treat!
