Swapping out expensive brands to cheaper

With the cost of living going up, I need to start saving some money on beauty/clothes/candles etc.

Can anyone recommend the best high street beauty products that are cheap but are good quality and actually work? I need skin care, body lotions, body washes and shampoo/conditioner, make-up etc please! Smile

I do use some items from the ordinary, which is a little more affordable.

I also read here that a lot of the items that are cheaper are made in the same factories that all the expensive items Shock does anyone know if this is true?

I think the stuff Aldi are doing really rivals top brands now. They are dupes of big names and I do suspect they are the same thing, given I've used big names over the years. They are good. I have some masks, some moisturisers, and bits of makeup. I only use expensive foundation because I'm 40 and it just has to look good. I use Fenty and Bare Minerals. But everything else Aldi is my go-to.

I've found Beauty Pie subscription to be super useful and much cheaper than high street.
Yes you need to pay to subscribe, but you can do so for just a few months (£5/month I believe?) to get some products and then cancel. Really worth I I found
