A good one that adds volume but doesn’t make my hair crusty. Any suggestions?

Pantene do a good one. It's supposed to go crunchy, then you scrunch it out. Me and DD follow the curly girl routine. Its a faf to start but worth the effort. Loads of other products you can use other than mousse too.

Have you tried to ‘scrunch out the crunch’ when your crust-inducing mousse has dried all nice and crispy?
Usually that’s something that’s associated with using gel, but maybe applies to mousse too….

I've rediscovered catwalk 'curls rock' which I used all through my late teens. It's taken me this long to remember what the blinking stuff was called! You don't need much, and it needs to go on wet hair, then when it's dry scrunch it again.

Thanks all. Will have a look. I used to use Frizz Ease mousse. Is it still a thing?
