clothes don't fit, help!

Hi all, I've always been "blessed" in the chest but after the birth of my son breastfeeding has made me even bigger, GG cups. I'm 5ft 3, probably a stone (ish) overweight, but nowhere near big enough for the curvy/plus size ranges. Really struggling to find flattering clothes that fit. Is there any clothing brands out there that cater to bigger busted women? Thanks in advance Smile

Do you know what body shape you are? And what clothing size do you wear? That's kind of important to know as you could be a size 8 with GG boobs or a size 18. I'm 5'4 and at a size 10 wore an FF cup. I'm now a size 8 so they have got smaller, but I've not had a chance to invest in new bras. At a size 10/12 I did struggle to fine clothing that would fit my boobs (I now have the opposite problem ☹️).

Brands that worked well for me in button up blouses were Bravissimo (I think they stopped doing most of their clothing to focus on lingerie, but I think their sister brand FigLeaves still operates online?). Marks & Spencer do some blouses that have a few hidden buttons on the inside that do up in between the main buttons to help pull the gaping shirt closed.

I also used to sew tiny poppers into all of my button up tops and dresses because my boobs would pull at the buttons and you could see through them.

@IEatChocolateForBreakfast I'm an hourglass shape (apart from my baby belly!!) I used to be able to fit size 10/12 clothes over my boobs but am now leaning more towards 12-14, but then they don't fit the other parts of my body it's really difficult. I will check out FigLeaves I've never heard of them before Smile

In terms of problems with proportions, I think the only real solution is to buy so that nowhere is too tight and then have the rest adjusted so it fits well. I have a similar difficulty sometimes in that I'm comparatively wide-shouldered and comparatively long-torsoed, so sometimes things hang for me elsewhere (bust and waist).

Have you looked at wrap tops? Look for a v neck and a tie at the waist

I haven't bought anything from this company, but I came across it the other day and sounds like it might work for you.

This is total trial and error. I've had stuff from lots of different places. I hate being all boobs. The oversized trend has been quite good as normally plenty of fabric to get over the bust, but I size down as very baggy isn't flattering either. The supermarkets tend to cut more generously, I always assume their target market is mums grabbing stuff at the same time as food and kids clothes.

@babyboyHarrison thank you there's some lovely pieces on there Smile

@VerityPJohnson yeah it isn't pleasant, after I'm finished having children I'm seriously considering a reduction. I never thought to size down on oversized that's a great tip, and I'll definitely check out the supermarkets that makes a lot of sense!

Could you buy separates, size 14 tops and size 10/12 bottoms?
When I change size I often do a massive Next order with a variety of sizes and styles and see what works for me in the comfort of my own home. Then send a lot of it back but at least end up with an idea of my correct size and what does or doesn’t suit me.
