Necklines on tops...neckline theory?

Is there somewhere you can learn about the most flattering necklines for yourself?
I'm broad of shoulder, short of neck and ample of bosom Grin I'm trying to go through my things to declutter but it's quite tricky to see things as flattering or not on yourself.
Very high crew neck - nope. Looks like I have no neck.
Broad-ish scoop neck works quite well I think. It must be something to do with the fistance it hits between your chin or collarbones and your bust, I'm just not sure what the ratio is.
Example, I have a couple of these tops in different colours, I liked the feel of the fabric and they are simple enough but something, I'm not sure what, makes me question if they are not right for me or aging or something. Maybe it's the notch in the neckline? I prefer simple lines so it's a 'detail' that makes it somehow fussy for me.
Maybe it's the distance it falls across my chest. If it is just a little too high, it can feel a bit 'all chest'.

Probably overthinking it, but something is making ne question if I could actually look stylish in these tops, despite liking the fabric. I'm not crafty enough to alter the neckline either unfortunately.

Anyone know much about necklines and possible theory?

You know actually I think part of the issue is that I am finding it hard to find some good quality nice shaped scoopneck vests to switch them with. Often they are just thin lycra stretchy underwear type tops. I want some nice cotton/slub fabric with a neckline that isn't too low. Or too high. Grin
