/ how to make them better? They are still there when I stop smiling actually...

Lines on cheek when I smile, do I need filler?

Your face moves when you smile, it doesn't "need" filler.

ShowOfHands · 20/03/2022 11:23

You're a human being, that's what our faces do. No you don't need filler.

Tillymintpolo · 20/03/2022 11:24

Don’t be ridiculous

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 20/03/2022 11:26

Stop reading "beauty" magazines. Your cheeks are fine. No one needs filler!

AuntieMarys · 20/03/2022 11:27

Dear god

Elmo311 · 20/03/2022 11:27

They are the only thing I can see in a photo when I'm smiling and they are there when I'm not, feel like they age me a bit? I'm 35 soon.

Pangolin44 · 20/03/2022 11:27

Of course not! That's akin to worrying the your waist bends in the middle when you sit down, it's meant to!

I can't even see any lines beyond what a mobile, fairly young face would have. Stop scrutinising yourself and get out in the sun (with sunscreen of course, there's no need to be reckless).

ClariceQuiff · 20/03/2022 11:28

Totally normal. You have lovely skin. Don't waste your money.

MushroomHunter · 20/03/2022 11:29

No you do not need filler. That’s Normal, please don’t feel Pressured to get filers or Botox. I fully understand why women are choosing to do this but there’s no real need for it.

ginslinger · 20/03/2022 11:40

You do not need filler

MiddleNameJane · 20/03/2022 11:47

That's ludicrous.

Sorry, I'm taking this a bit personally because I've just checked in the mirror and my face does the same thing, and despite being quite vain I've never even noticed or cared about this, and yet now there's yet another thing "wrong" with my looks!

RagzRebooted · 20/03/2022 11:50

Oh no, I'm sorry. If it means anything to you at all, I don't notice these things on other people, just myself.

Agree with everyone else, of course you don't need filler! Your skin does look possibly a little dehydrated. Try hyaluronic acid and moisturiser and see if that helps.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 20/03/2022 11:54

And of course, if you’re worried about wrinkles, everyone has the right to wear sunscreen
Wagsandclaws · 20/03/2022 11:56

I'm 50 and I don't 'need' filler, I choose to have it amongst other things because it makes me feel better about what I see in the mirror BUT i wouldn't have dreamed of going that route at 34.

OP your lines are from
Smiling and they look fine I promise, it would be such a shame to mess with such lovely skin this early on.

ShowOfHands · 20/03/2022 12:02

Of course they age you. The lines on our faces make us look the age we are. But somehow, somewhere, we've decided that if we don't look exactly how we did aged 28, it's shameful and bad. It's your life and experience writ large on your face. And that's normal and human and gives you expression. But everything is geared at younger and thinner and woe betide we look like the people we are. And does it ever work? The plumping and the injecting? No. It's like AstroTurf. Looks a bit like what it's supposed to be but it's not natural, is expensive and isn't nearly as interesting as real grass.

I'm all for people doing what they like with their own bodies but when the rhetoric has become about needing to eradicate things or zeroing in on normal things and making people feel shame, I really could fucking weep.

rosebushtoosh · 20/03/2022 13:56

I am late 20s, all of my gfs are around the same age & I am the ONLY one out of 8 who hasn't had filler or botox and though I'd never say it to their faces some of them look much OLDER because of it. I'm not kidding or trying to put you off not only do they look older but kind of strange too. Filler migrates to other areas of the face and can make it look puffy plus it can take years upon years to filter through the liver out of the body. A lot of my gfs now have a cookie-cutter look, are near expressionless and you would think they are late 30s even early 40s. Most of them are now paying to get it "dissolved"🤢. You have very very fine lines and creases because you're a human and that's natural. It looks normal. I have them I'm over 5 years younger than you. I actually like mine😂
So no you don't need filler. No one does therefore it so it boils down to whether or not you want it and in that case you should research the risks and pros and cons so you can be fully prepared. this guy seems to know his stuff and has some interesting videos :

Sunscreen, cutting out cigarettes/alcohol/coffee, getting adequate sleep and drinking water are the ways to keep skin as naturally youthful and clear as possible but aging is coming for all of us and all the filler and botox in the world won't ever make a 70 year old look 25.

PinkGinBigGrin · 20/03/2022 15:24

No!

Drink lots of water and use a rich moisturiser with spf 50.

You look normal and are probably beautiful (can't really tell from just your cheek but it's a nice cheek!)

FazeleysRoyale · 20/03/2022 15:42

@ShowOfHands

Thank you for your post. Best post I've ever read on here. I completely agree with all of it.

OP - please don't get filler.

Jinglebellsoncake · 20/03/2022 16:03

We call these accordion lines.
Yours are very mild. Good skincare, staying hydrated and sunscreen will help.

Yours are not bad enough for filler. But you could consider a HA skin booster like Profhilo to help plump this area 😃
