I've recently bought
-Niacinamide 10%
-Retinoid 2%

(From LRP and The Ordinary)

My usual routine daytime is moisturiser and then sun block then foundation.

Do I use niacinamide first?

At night can I use both niacinamide and retinoid or just one (and then a moisturiser as well?)

I've used niacinamide but not retinol. There's an article here about using the two together.

With the sunscreen I think that goes on last. Ambre Solaire Over Makeup Super UV Protection Mist SPF50 is good.

I use Niacinamide 10% and retinol 0.5% in squalene, both by the ordinary.

You can use niacinamide with a retinol, I read they work at a similar PH and the niacinamide helps protect against the irritation with the retinol. I use niacinamide first, I like to give it 5-10 mins to soak in, following with the retinol (and then-moisturiser last).

You would then use sunblock after. However it's recommended to only use retinol in the evenings, due to the increase in sun sensitivity. Make sure you wear sunscreen in the day even with nightly use.

Sorry, just re-read your post! In the day time use the niacinamide first, followed by moisturiser then sunscreen. At night niacinamide followed by retinol followed by moisturiser.

I started using niacinamide just once a day to see how well my skin tolerated it (very well it turns out!) before moving to twice a day. Retinol normally recommended to start once or twice a week before gradually increasing to every night!

Just adding that the Ordinary niacinamide is miraculous stuff. I find it a little bit drying, so only use it at night, under moisturiser (blue Nivea) but within a couple of weeks it had completely dealt with my bumpy, rosacea-prone, tired-looking skin.
