Does anyone use Rosalique anti redness / rosacea cream

Is it any good?

Or any other suggestions?

I've pretty much stopped wearing make up regularly and whilst this has cleared most of my persistent acne, I had a photo taken yesterday and looked terrible (my mother does have a gift of taking the most unflattering photos of me imaginable tbf - it's a lifelong thing). Have been googling and come across this with all sorts of wonder reviews, but it's 30 quid snd im tight so want to know if it's any good

Or any other suggestions.

43, white, combo skin which gets dry / oily in no discernible pattern.

Over the counter azeleic acid from The Ordinary instantaneously reduced redness. Dermatologist then prescribed Rozex cream - instant and more lasting effect. What I thought was acne turned out to be rosacea. Altruist anti redness and pigmentation is a fantastic foundation / concealer and cheaper than Rosalique.

La Roche Rosaliac is another one which is brilliant at reducing the redness and much cheaper, currently on 3for2 on LookFantastic if you’re wanting to try but not spend too much, I think you can get the makeup remover, moisturiser and cleanser all for about £30 total

yorkshireteaspoonie · 13/03/2022 07:56

Yep, I've got it. Only works for me if I wear it under other make up as it's very yellow/ olive toned. I'm very fair so often use Dr Jart tiger grass colour correcting cream instead. Works well as it corrects the red but doesn't look like make up

The rosalique can be rubbed in but the Dr Jart is best patted on/ lightly blended. The rosalique is a thicker texture and slightly harder to blend Id say

Appleseesaw · 13/03/2022 07:58

You can order a sample of Rosalique. I tried it. It seemed to have potential but was just far too dark for me. I am very pale though.

I found the Rosaliac range didn't have any effect at all for me. I like the sun cream though.

Depending on your triggers, Eucerin aquaphor is an amazing barrier cream for protecting your skin from environmental triggers, and it gives off a nice glow similar to highlighter. It's improved my skin more than anything else I've used.

I’ve tried most of the above and they didn’t work, but I find zz cream (for the acne and redness) and bare minerals powder foundation works well for me. Neither of them block the skin and I won’t be seen in public without the bare minerals

spacehardware · 13/03/2022 08:02

Thanks all - I didn't realise the Rosalique is a cover up / primer type thing, I assumed it was a serum or moisturiser. I'm also pale (under the red!) so probably not for me then

Maybe the la Roche posy is a better bet ...

I am so so embarrassingly clueless about skincare stuff and I am starting to look aged so I need to fix this. I don't kind looking older but I'd like to look older in a Charlotte Rampling / Gillian Anderson way, not a bag lady way.

Bright yellow on me,it looked ridiculous.

I've improved my redness by using CeraVe pm cream and I use Double Wear like a concealer blended with a buffing brush.

Isabelle70 · 13/03/2022 11:34

I signed up with Dermatica for anti-aging and they replied that I need the Rosacea cream. I have been using it for nearly 2 months and my skin is so much better, less red,in fact I find it strange looking in the mirror as there is not the redness I have had for as long as I can remember.
You could give that a try, you can get the first month for £2.90 and my first tube lasted 6 weeks.

Blahblahblahyadayadayada · 13/03/2022 11:44

Similar to a pp, I signed up with skin +me.
I use Niacinamide+ Azelaic acid.
Rosalique made things worse for me- I think urea and Shea butter are triggers for bumps for me.
I seem to have a good routine that works for me now, but I do sympathise with you. Rosacea is very frustrating.

mrsnw · 13/03/2022 12:03

I have it and it's ok. I prefer the cheaper one on Amazon in a bottle. I'll post a link

mrsnw · 13/03/2022 12:05

I use this one

Mrsnw I liked the altruist face spf too- do you find the pigmented one too pigmented at all?

mrsnw · 13/03/2022 12:54

I spread this over my checks and then apply Estée Lauder double wear foundation over the top. I also use Liz Earle calming skin drops mixed with moisturiser and this has helped calm my redness.

SRK16 · 13/03/2022 13:07

You can order samples of the rosalique. Personally I didn’t think it was great at all and I’m glad I didn’t buy the full size.
Azaelic acid is good for rosacea, my dad had something prescribed but you can buy OTC and I think there are some purely cosmetic ones too?

spacehardware · 14/03/2022 15:42

Just to say I bought La Roche Posay rosaliac and it is amazing. Already.

RUBBISH DON'T BOTHER
does not cover my roseacea and is not fit for purpose asked to return product and was told - NO. I did everything within timescales required was told, "Unfortunately that does not count as a claim since it's so individual when it comes to skincare and makeup."
This really isn't good enough, if it doesn't DO what its'supposed to do ie: cover roseacea.Wouldn't mind but mind is not megga bad

Do you have bumpy rosacea- the type with little pussy raised spots? The ordinary azaelic keeps mine under control very well.

SaggiMC · 31/10/2022 23:07

nope not at all just very mild redness on cheeks

SaggiMC · 31/10/2022 23:39

have you continued to use their products and how are things now pls?

which one did you buy? I'm looking for covering with CC cream, so just wondering if it works. thanks

sausage767 · 31/10/2022 23:52

I’ve tried the LRP, didn’t do much for me. But I’ve had good results with the Avene Antirougeurs Forte and the Calmness Soothing Mask. The mask is amazing for irritated skin.

Ballsaque · 01/11/2022 00:14

The altruist one is great, miles better than Rosalique IMO.

Shop around though,Amazon not always the cheapest
