Where can you get skirts/dresses in LONG apart from Boden?

I'm not even that tall! But unless I buy a shorter skirt in a longer lentgth (IYKWIM) the proprtions look completely wrong.

I know M&S do some, but they are mainly formal ones. Don't like Boden that much, but want something sort of 3-4" below knee. Have just ordered nice summer skirt form Next preview, and it looks stupid as usual

they always seem too long to me lol

i think 3 or 4 inches below the knee looks frumpy

how tall are you

fishie · 04/01/2008 13:50

me also, i do not like that length at all, nothing below the knee for me ever. fat face and white stuff always too long, perhaps you could try there?

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 04/01/2008 13:51

monsoon too always too long

fizzbuzz · 04/01/2008 13:53

5ft 8, but I;ve got quite long legs.

God Yes never thought about that, they can look frumpy! But the propertions look wrong. eg skirt I have just tried on sat on my knee, and had little kick pleats and it just looked square (shape not style!, although on 2nd thoughts probably is the shape )

On someone about 3 or 4" smaller it would have sat just below knee, and I HATE my kness. However, it really is more about proprtion that length, well proprtion and length really!

try Monsoon and funnily enough Tesco, if it's just casual.
I'm saying that as they are always too long for me! LOL

fizzbuzz · 04/01/2008 14:33

Thanks for that. Monsoon website looks very promising, if only the same could be said for Tesco direct.tesco.com/p/inc/homepage/clothing/range.asp?type=Skirts yuk

they might look nice on

I bought a gorgeous long blue skirt from them last year, that's why I mentioned it.

fizzbuzz · 04/01/2008 16:34

Will keep investigating them then......they are too far away to visit shop, so it will have to be online

3-4in below knee is the fattest part of my calf so if a skirt stops there my legs look colossally fat and stumpy, so I like my skirts bang on my knee or an inch or two above - White Stuff, Fat Face, Monsoon all too long for me, also much of Gap.
