Good finger cream???

Hi,

My skin around fingernails is very dry, especially on my right thumb and the skin has cracked, which is sore. I've been using okeefe's working hand cream, while it's very good for fixing my dry cracked knuckles, it doesn't work on my fingers at all.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Use a cuticle oil overnight in bed & rub it down the rest of your fingers then put a good rich hand cream over the top. I like this one

Nursem hand balm in the tub. Vicks vapo rub or even Vaseline with socks. Also when you are no longer stingy, try using the Cerave SA foot. cream -it’s the urea I think that helps. I know how painful and annoying this is!

Loccitane do fantastic hand creams for dry skin. Aldi have a really really cheap one as well that works for me, red and white bottle and is peanuts. You could also go DIY and give your hands an intensive home treatment which should target the fingers too but soaking them in olive oil overnight. It can be messy though so use gloves.

CND RescueRxx daily keratin treatment oil. I also use Neutrogena hand cream.

Key for me is not so much the cream as what I wash with…I was prescribed Dermol 500 which I use to wash my hands, it makes a huge difference! I also have cetraban ointment I use daily and use steroid cream for a bad flare up. It’s worth discussing with your GP.

I used sudocrem with a plaster over it and it worked quite well.
Or something like flexitol?
