I am going to Italy at the end of April for a long weekend. My feet are so gross that even my puppy licks them and runs GrinSo much hard, cracked and peeling skin.

Please give me your best and easiest products to use which can make my feel look vaguely normal within a couple of months...

Definitely go to a chiropodist and Flexitol balm every day. You're worth it Smile

A chiropodist told my husband to soak his feet in washing soda crystals. He does this after he uses one of the battery operated files then he moisturises with heel balm. Sorts his feet out nicely.

I have tried most things over the past 30 years (podiatrist/ chiropodist/ pedicures/ callous shaver( the blade one like a potato peeler)/ all the files in the world/ scholl electric velvet smooth file x 2 / footner peel)

The best thing is this electronic foot file from Amazon for about £15 abs my feet have never been better. Took a few weeks of weekly pedicure to get it all off. But it's amazing! Dry is more satisfying than wet but I think wet is a bit more effective and advise to use proper soap when doing it wet.

Just need to find a decent cream to go with it.

Heel genius by soap and glory is really good. I’d also recommend Birkenstock boston or caged sandals to hide your toes if they are a state. I lost both of my big toenails during the winter and was sure I’d have to resort to Birkenstocks I’m the summer, but thankfully they are almost back 🤢😂

I had my feet treated today - an annual MOT. All the hard skin gone, nails trimmed, cuticles trimmed, nails filed. My feet are as smooth as a baby's bum!

@70isaLimitNotaTarget

Can I just say , off the record , as a long term NHS Podiatrist ( wound care , ulcers, infections, ingrown toenails , the full shooting match Wink ) the only thing that makes me retch is when someone tells me their dog licks their feet

They lick their own bums
Feck knows what bacteria is inhabiting their mouths .

Sanctuary Spa heel balm, everyday after showering. I have yearly diabetic foot checks and always get compliments on my feet

CambsAlways · 01/03/2022 18:16

Go to a podiatrist they will sort your feet out, for around 45 pound depending on different areas, I personally love going sort out dry skin, cut nails! Etc etc well worth it

i had ridiculous hard skin\neglected feet..i got a rubbish chesty cough and applied viks vaporub, then socks(as recommended)whilst it did the truck it also seemed to soften the deadskin considerably which made it really easy to remove.

Lookingoutside · 01/03/2022 18:54

Definitely see a Podiatrist. You want a medical pedicure. Use a foot file weekly and flexitol every night. Moisturising socks are a good idea too.

Peach190 · 01/03/2022 20:14

I’m a podiatrist; see one of us, hcpc registered, file your nails, use a cream with minimum 15% urea such as Flexitol 3 times a week.

GorgonzolaSouffle · 01/03/2022 20:16

Some things are best left to the experts.

Treat yourself to a podiatrist.

Scholl's cracked heel cream is a miracle in a tube! It absolutely will fix your cracked heels and will make your feet baby soft.
