How to look expensive on a beach holiday?

Yes, I know this is ridiculous and no one will be looking at me or care where I buy my clothes from, but I’m remembering the ‘how to look expensive’ threads from a few of years ago and wondering how to translate those idea for a fancy beach holiday with friends who have much bigger budgets than I do. I have decent bikinis/swimsuits that I’m comfortable in, but I’d like to invest in a couple of things that could give the rest of my clothes a bit of a ‘lift’ so the overall look is more pulled together, e.g. a beautiful beach bag to replace my cheap one that’s covered in sun cream stains 🙈. Any of you stylish people have any good ideas? Please and thank you.

Oooh my thread got bounced! 😎

May as well update though as everyone was so helpful! Have been on the fancy holiday which was awesome. I bought a couple of beach coverup things from Next and SilkFred, although I can’t remember which brand they were. I was really pleased with them on holiday, but actually they didn’t wash well at all so I do feel like I wasted my money there (have given one of the dresses to my tiny and slim 9 year old daughter and it fits her now). I ordered (and returned) lots of stuff from the Outnet - it was all nice and I could really see the difference in quality, but being so short in the torso, a lot just didn’t fit well. I ended up keeping a couple of dresses from BA&SH which is a brand I hadn’t tried before, but seems to work for me if I choose the style carefully. I’m v pleased with them and they definitely ‘feel’ expensive. I could have probably done with a dressier pair of shoes than my wedges, but other than that it really didn’t matter!

Planning for a girls holiday with a group of friends now and scrolling through instagram for ideas on updating my look a bit. Jewellery, belts and bags seem to be the thing with simple but good quality basic clothes. Any more ideas always appreciated!

I wouldn’t say a thread from Feb is a zombie thread. Thanks for coming back OP
