White bras

Any tips on how to keep white bras white? Gotta admit I am lazy and end up throwing them in the machine with the white wash so is this the problem that the only way to keep them white is always hand wash? There not cheap and I end up buying new ones just cos of the colour going.

What are you using to wash them?

WeeM · 25/02/2022 22:43

If you are wearing them under pale/white things then try a cerise/raspberry pink instead....doesn’t show up, was a game changer for me Grin.

Doesn’t solve your problem for strappy tops obviously but I tend to hand wash.

Dry outside in the sunshine. It always makes whites, really white!

I've got pale, white skin, but always buy skin toned bras because I find white ones can be seen under white/light coloured tops. I can throw them in with other washing too, so no stress about ensuring they are white.

White bras always go awful after a few wears Beige is your friend.

I just use persil. I think its the fact Im not hand washing them. I do have a couple of beige ones they are easier.

I dont have any white bras now. Nude bras don't show under white and don't go grey

dementedpixie · 26/02/2022 11:35

And use powder as they have bleaches that should help keep them whiter for longer

StarlightLady · 26/02/2022 18:29

The answer is simple, ditch the utilitarian white, forsake the beige and live life in full colour.

Mine go in the machine with Persil Bio or Ariel and I've never noticed greying. Maybe your machine doesn't wash v effectively.

You could try leaving to soak in a bowl of diluted Milton...
